Landing Page work lost

I wanted to build a landing page using Strikingly. I started working with it (with the free version and plan to switch to the pro version once I plan to publish the page),the interface is quite easy to use and I was happy with the results I obtained.
My issue happened today when I opened the editor to continue my work to see that the version of landing page I get is an older one (few days back) and all my last days work has vanished (knowing that this work has been auto-saved and checked out just yesterday). When I contacted the customer service, they said that they can't do much and that the page had to be published to be recovered. It seemed like they don't care about the causes of the issue (which is definetly a huge one !). I lost tens of hours of work and it could have been worst.
I'm switching to another platform and if you are serious about your work, I would definitely not recommand using Strikingly.

As a long term (now former) customer who was fine with Strikingly when they started,it saddens me to now leave a negative review.
Do NOT start a subscription with Strikingly. Once you do they will not relinquish your payment details. They have a no refund policy that is established in bad faith, as you can see from other reviews below. Their customer support staff are fine - they're only doing what their bosses have imposed, but they're working off underlying business practices that are not customer-centric, and they will fight tooth and nail to keep your money.
There are also far better website builders out there now. Strikingly is not particularly well integrated with contemporary platforms such as Zapier, so it's just not worth the pain.

I wanted to change to a free plan but option not clickable. FAQ says it is only possible if no pro features are used.Not clear what they are so deleted one site then the other. Free plan still not an option. FAQ then says it is only possible for the company to change a pro plan. So wrote to support to just get the account deleted as there is not point having a free plan with not sites and after mocking about for way too long because it was deliberately designed to make me do so.
Sites were beautiful. Payment options were not suitable for business as they do not keep basic invoice legalities. Customer support is this modern "fill the major gaps with good feelings" approach that always turn out to be useless.

To be fair: I liked the product. I created a prototype of a landing page very quickly with the trial version.I like the product and the support to help me use the website. After one week I did not need it anymore and this is when the nightmare started.
My bad experience was about the payment. You should know one think upfront: they wont give you any refunds ever.
After the trial I was charged 192 USD, so I talked to them the same day saying I did not want it. They said they would give me a 192 refund and switch my account to a monthly plan for 20 USD, I agreed and asked if I was going to be paying twice. They said they would let me know in 24-48 hours. What happened was they charged me and I ended up paying 192 usd for the yearly subscription+20 usd every month. All of this for the same service.
When I reached out for help on the chat, they said they gave me a 192 refund in Strikingly credits. THis time I was talking to Cedric. I told him I needed the refund in my back account, not in Strikingly credits. He said I would get the refund in 5 business days.
Next day I get an Email saying I wont get any refunds. So, I go back to the chat, this time with Janne. They started talking about the benefits of Strikingly and etc, so I again asked them for the refund and they said they dont give refunds. She denied the solution that Cedric had given me before and said it was a missunderstanding when I showed her the chat.
After that frustation, I then said I was charged twice for the same service. The "happiness officer" Janne, started changing the topic and blaming me for all of this.
So, I wont keep writing more about this, since this makes me feel helpless. In all: I paid twice for the same product, for a total of 212 usd. After the chat, I got an Email asking me if I would take an additional month of their service. Which I think was an insult, after all of this.
In conclusion: the product is a decent one. But there are PLENTY of similar or better solutions out there like Wix, Weebly, Jimdo, etc...a lot of companies make basically the same. So it makes no sense using strikingly. And I would advice avoiding all companies that wont give a refund. I learned my lesson. Please dont make the same mistake as me.

Good god avoid like the plague!!! Because they are based in China/USA, they have zero idea of what constitutes customer service,necessary requirements or just basic website management in the UK. Their customer responses are cringeworthy and talk in complete circles where they basically don't help or give you any answers at all and take your money for what is quite easily the worst website builder in the world!!! I would rather learn to code and build my entire website from scratch whilst having someone hammer nails in my back than use these incompetents ever again!!

Most approachable on the market. I am actually in disbelief looking at some other ratings.I have found Strikingly to be the best in price-features-speed-ease to edit-how it looks combination. With 20 usd a month one has 3 sites with html embed, membership, subscriptions, store, gdpr compliant and so on. That literally does not exist on the market and I have been testing builders for years.

These guys are TERRIBLE! I did a trial, and I attempted to cancel my account the same day I started my trial.I thought I was successful at it, but then apparently two weeks later I suddenly get a charge. I quickly cancel my account (again), and reach out to them to get a refund. They completely refuse to give me a refund! Seriously, they call themselves "happiness" officers. That should be a red flag right there. They are a disgusting company with horrible practices. DO NOT USE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!

I used to be Strikingly's biggest fan, that was until this last month or so (Aug 25, 2020).We have always build our sites on many different platforms and found Strikingly to be one of the best. Several sites allow to build out decent websites with the simplicity of creating well done and in some cases highly frequented sites.
All of a sudden, last night and over the course of the last few months we have been losing content on the site. We create, post, save, publish and then they are not there. Once or twice the site wouldn't save them because there were two team members with the Strikingly editor page open. Only one was editing but still, the Strikingly software does not properly save pages if two people happen to be on the same account at the same time - THIS IS A FEATURE THAT THEY HAVE SAID THEY WOULD BE FIXING SINCE THEY STARTED YEARS AGO. Either way, we contacted support to see if they could reset or find the missing content which we added. While this process was happening, our support person suggested something and tried it. At that point the website stopped working. It wouldn't propagate. To make a long story short - ALL OF A SUDDEN, we could not use the site unless we added the "WWW" on the URL. WE HAVE NEVER HAD TO DO THIS BEFORE, EVER!! We would NOT build a site on any platform where it was necessary to enter WWW. But ALL OF A SUDDEN, this happened. I asked the Support staff what did he do. He claimed that what he did had nothing to do with the website not working and that it was probably an issue with our registrar, IONOS. We called them immediately and they said everything was normal and UNTOUCHED on their end. They did nothing at all to the site to make this happen. OUR REP from Strikingly (Happiness Agent) did something and did not want to cop to it.
We are completely and utterly disgusted by this treatment. Note our website is well over a year in the making. We have NEVER EVER HAD TO USE THE WWW TO MAKE ANY OF THE URLS ON OUR SITE PROPAGATE!! Finally, we found our favorite Happiness Agent and she went through the system and fixed it for us accordingly!! She is great! Very helpful and knowledgeable on their system. That was last night.
Today, all day, everything worked fine, as normal. Then a few hours ago it stopped working again. We contacted their support, the insisted it was IONOS, even though, yesterday when the Strikingly Rep was helping us and did something to the back end, our website STOPPED PROPAGATING!!! We contacted support again, again they insisted it was IONOS and that we call them. So we did. Once again, IONOS went through the system found nothing wrong.
One of the problems with Strikingly, they do everything they can to keep you from talking to a Supervisor. We have had this issue with them in the past. Some of their Customer support - "Happiness Agents" can be very cocky, but there are a good handful that are good and helpful. Either way, unfortunately we got one of their reps last night that really seem to screw things up, and did not cop to it. So here we are, in the evening more than 24 hours later, and our website is still not working. It worked good this morning, into the afternoon and then around 1pm-ish it stopped again.
We are really on the edge of cancelling our services with Strikingly. One of their reps has truly been wonderful, and I would do anything to hire her on as a Virtual Assistant, but I write this review in the hopes that anyone who is considering using Strikingly to really think twice or three times before jumping in. Our company is small, growing and if it wasn't for our good rep at the company, we would of left a long time ago. Please feel free to share this experience with your friends and colleagues if they are thinking about using Strikingly, they need to get a handle on their reps and how they manage their technology. This whole experience has really made us realize that this company is not as good as they might want to be, and that one bad apple can really screw things up!!
