Don't judge a book by its cover

I've had now four accounts with this bank. The reason for me getting this thing was because the locationwas close to me and I got a place of it account and I wanted to save money with the interest rate savings account they blocked my account several times for no apparent reason I had every bit of information that I needed everything and my friends were held up on three different occasions at this bank I ended up going to the location at 34th Street where they accepted my deposit gave me my account numbers and everything and then put an alert on my account the girl did the bank teller I guess because I'm changing there and even though you know I am my name is Raymond still legally so maybe that was a decision I don't know but she did from that day I had nothing but trouble anything quiet for my time being hell from things that I already had coming in and out they weren't allowed to come in and out that was never reimbursed for they fought the accused me of depositing a fake stimulus tax from the government which made of clear and they had to reset my whole account again where I'm inquired fees again I didn't really understand at first so I was going off on my credit card company to give me my feedback but it's not there job to give me that feedback and also I had a negative report on my credit due to the situation too kind of sort of without the also resolve I have not been reimbursed to any of the money or fees that I had to inspire because they blocked my account without having a reason to and then holding my funds of once they cleared for days. The branch manager was very helpful and I can tell that she was sincere from the heart she's really helped me get my account back on track and it's not her job to take care of everything and I don't want to pressure her but I feel like it all started and that branch and it could have already been resolved a while ago. I also have videos of myself and another person in the branch with homeless being treated like s***. It's not like I come into this to receive money or be compensated but people fall into it and when you go through things like this which I will put on my blog you will see exactly what I deal with as a human being it's unacceptable

Citibank is the worst

I have been with Citibank for many years, but the bank has change and itbis terrible now.The customer service is horrible, the international line is even worse. The bank does not offer any protection for fraudulent transactions and actually allow them. They wouldn't investigate and rather close the dispute without communicating their decision to me. Unauthorized transaction made abroad and I supplied proof. They do not care. It used to be a good bank, now is the worst place to put your money. I am closing my accounts and opening a new one with Chase. Stay away.

This is the worst bank in the whole wide world I open a bank account transfer $600 dollars in minutes2 days later my account is locked and closed with no explanation I spend 6 hours on the phone combined no one was able to give me answers it has the worst customers service who cannot even speak correct English. I still haven’t got my $600 it’s been two and half months, please be advised stay away from this bank. I will call them again Monday about my money if I didn’t get answers I will filed a report with the federal reserves and fdic and through consumer financial protection they robbing we the people and this has to stop.

Horrible bank to deal with, stay away from this terrible online service, I could not get my deposited money from this bank until i filed complaint with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau,Better Business Bureau and FDIC. and wasted several weeks and hours of phone calls and emails.

Citibank Credit Card Policies are Horrible

I applied for the Citi Premier MasterCard. I have flawless credit and FICO scores ranging from 835 to 850.I have no debt except for about 150k on a house worth $800,000. We have no balances on any credit cards, including a Citbank Double Cash MC which we've had for over a decade. We pay off our credit cards every month and have for the past 35 years. Income is $230,000/year. Assets are several million. I was declined due to having applied for another credit card the same day. We wanted two travel cards with one as a backup, hence the second application. Note that this is the first time in over 7 years we've applied for credit. After we complained to the company, they finally agreed to open an account, but made the limit 2000. This is ridiculous. The requirement for the bonus points for this card is that you spend 4000 to earn them. Kind of tough to do with a lousy 2000 limit! Why they treat long-time, loyal customers like us so poorly is beyond me. Their policies are ludicrous and a 2000 limit is like a joke - what use is a card with this tiny little limit? We are closing ALL of our Citibank accounts immediately. We get treated MUCH better by Chase. We are DONE with Citibank. PERIOD.

Today, I attempted to purchase a ticket online, and was treated by "something went wrong" ,not a very meaningful, error. Attempted a few times with the same outcome. After jumping through numerous hoops, I attempted to contact customer service using the number on the back of the card, and was treated with never ending sales rants with ridiculous questions about my age, health insurance, etc., and was never able to get through.  WHAT THE HELL?!? Called a fraud dept number listed on the site, and was told that my card was suspended because of "fraudulent activity". Who gave you the right to accuse me of fraud?!? I was asked numerous questions about my transactions and other identifying information, and finally my cell phone number, the number I've had for 20+ years, the number you have on file, the number YOU have used to contact me many times, and yet that number "couldn't be used because it's not associated with you".  WHAT THE HELL?!? The only option to unlock the card offered was to send a letter to my address that's supposed to arrive "within 7-10 business days". WHAT THE HELL?!? Hours later, I received an automated phone call (ON THE SAME NUMBER YOU HAD DECLARED FRAUDULENT!!!) from "fraud prevention department" asking if I was behind that transaction. You people lost it - you make no sense, you declare others thieves, you waste my time, you waste your time (that I obviously don't care about but you should), and if I did not have other cards, I would've been stranded because of your ridiculous mismanagement.And yet some individuals "think" your kind should rule the world when in fact you shouldn't be trusted with anything related to honesty or integrity and anything more sophisticated than a shovel. You have not changed since you collaborated with the nazi. SHAME ON YOU!

Horrible horrible I made a $500 payment when my minimum was only $30 ! Without notice they decreased my limit by $500 when I have never been late or missed a payment !The whole reason for the payment was to help my credit score !

Worst Banking Experience ever

I have been banking with Citibank for the past 23 years and up to this point I have been fairly satisfied with their services.Their banking fees have always been high and communication has never been the best but that is to be expected from a commercial bank. I cannot express enough how completely and utterly disgusted I am with my last experience with Citibank. Like I mentioned I have been banking with this Financial institution for over 2 decades and have held considerable amounts of funds in multiple accounts with them. I have been a Citi Priority as well as a Citigold Client and I felt comfortable with my relationship with them up until last month where I had to unfortunately withdraw my Refinance due to their incompetence and inability to complete this process after being given 7 month's time. This was not my first time dealing with their loan department and there have always been issues but this was completely unacceptable by any industry standards. What Bank takes 7 month's time and is still unable to complete a simple refinance with a 800 Fico, full appraisal, income and no debt. Their communication is awful, it is next to impossible to get a return phone call from anyone. After multiple attempts and finally speaking with my home lending officer, his manager and the loan processor no one was able to give me a straight answer as to what was happening. You would think that all the departments would communicate with one another since they are all involved in facilitating the process but no that doesn't happen here at Citibank. I cannot begin to explain the inconvenience this has caused me and my family, one would think an institution of this size would be able to complete a straight forward cookie cutter refinance with ease. In addition they claim to offer special services to their Citi Priority and Citigold Clients but this is façade. Do not be fooled by their smoke and mirror programs in which you need to hold minimum monthly deposits of hundreds of thousands of dollars and offer you benefits that in actuality do absolutely nothing. These services have no value and offer no benefits what so ever, there are much better programs with dozens of other banks that actually offer true services based on your deposits. They clearly have some major systemic issues with management and how they run day to day operations. They are more suited to approve a 900 million dollar loan with ease to a group of lenders to finance Revlon which in turn ended up being a huge mistake and one of the biggest Wall Street financial mishaps ever. My days with Citibank are numbered, this has left such a bad taste in my mouth that is un-repairable. I am going to liquidate all of my accounts in the coming weeks and go refinance with another lender. I would not recommend giving any business to Citibank or its affiliates based on their business practices and how they treat their customers. You're better off going to Chase and their utilizing their private Client services which are much better and require less holdings.
