My father passed away a week before Christmas 2020. It took them 2 Months for the "back office" to close his account.I called and went to my bank of America to have them call. The lady at my branch said she can't see any notes on her computer about why they wouldn't release funds. There were 2 complaints filed before they closed the account. I would go into more detail but it would take too long. It's bad enough I had to lose my dad, and to have to deal with my own bank treating me this way is despicable. They said that it was a technical issue and the program picked my case and caused a broken link. They said it's random. If I didn't have so many bills tied to my account I would close it.

Terrible experience with BofA refuses to fix ATM in small city that has been down for over 14 days andrefuses to honor others banks ATM fees after stating they would in prior conversations on the phone. One of the only reason people use national banks is to have the ability to access funds while traveling obviously this isn't the case with Bank of America your treated as a number not a customer.

BOA froze all my business accounts without any notification and now they're telling me it will take 24 to 48 hours to clear up their mistake.They need me to sign a form that I'm not offering money services which I have already signed when I set up the account. after 21 years I'm leaving Bank of America! does anyone recommend a new bank?

I’ve been with Bank of America for 4 years now, and I’ve been trying to get a credit card for a year now.Time after time they have denied me, even after being their own customer. Nothing I applied for was difficult to get in my mind, however they made it much more complicated. My credit score isn’t bad and there is no valid reason for denying me. Today I applied for one, and the terrible woman on the phone told me there was a good chance I would get approved for this one. She told me this was the only offer she saw in front of her for me, so I took it. I knew it sounded too good to be true. She convinced me to apply for it, and I got rejected. This means my credit will go down and it will make it even more difficult for me to now get a credit card.

It's now April 2, 2021; I have attempted to resolve a substantive error made by BOA to my mortgage account since January 2021.Although I've never been late or missed a mortgage payment since the inception of my mortgage (2016), BOA suddenly stopped taking my biweekly mortgage payments from my bank. The biweekly payments were set up at the time of the mortgage; to set this up, I had to make advance payments so that the payments would be made always one month in advance of the due date. The substantive problems BOA have created are as follows- 1-Without giving any notice, stopped pulling my biweekly payments. 2- Hence, I began making manual payments. Every biweekly payment I made was assessed to the wrong account which created a false mortgage delinquency beginning in January 2021. 3- Since January, I have called BOA and have spoken to more than 22 people because each time I speak to someone, they tell me the error has been corrected. 4- Not even 1, of those 22 people, ever followed up to fix the problem, and nor did they phone me. 5- I had to repeat the issue 22 times (while each of them said they were referring to "the notes", none of them knew anything about the issue from "the notes") 6- I complained and I was told that none of the BOA staff have the ability to make phone calls to their customers. 7- My issue was elevated to a "Escalation Manager" more than a month ago. She assured me that she would fix the problem but two weeks ago I learn that she did absolutely nothing and nor did she call me 8- Every two weeks, although I made my mortgage payment, BOA's records reflected that zero payments had been made since January and so I made a physical visit to a BOA branch. 9- The BOA representative was kind and thoughtful and attempted to help me but couldn't because the branches are not able to assist customers with anything that is BOA-Mortgage related; they don't even have access to BOA-mortgage records. 10- I had no other choice but to go right back to dialing the 800/888 numbers and was able to find the very same Escalation Manager that I spoke with; I left two messages and she never called me back. 11- I called her again yesterday, was able to speak with her, and she tells me that she has done everything she can possibly do. I tell her I want to talk to a supervisor and she tells me she is a supervisor. 12- In the mail today, I received a Loan Modification Approval from Bank of America. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS. I didn't apply for a loan modification and I have not missed a single mortgage payment. BOA's records indicate that I am thousands of dollars behind on my mortgage, that I am signed up on their forbearance program and that I have been approved now for a mortgage modification. Meanwhile, I don't know what to do other than to write this review and hope someone from BOA (who cares about other people) sees it and maybe make a formal complaint about BOA to Freddie Mac. Advice is welcome.

I wish they was an option for zero stars... Long story short. I had a WORKING debit card.I go 300 miles away from home for my card to be cut off. I called and was told well we are changing from MasterCard to Vida thats why you were sent a new card. Mind you I’m 300 miles away from home no money couldn’t check into my hotel room. Thank GOD for my sister... So I get back home activate the new card. Guess what it didn’t work. After embarrassing myself 3x I called BOA 3x to be told they couldn’t link my account and card. But I can go get a temp card.I said I can’t check into a hotel with a temp card. Mind you I was very clear that I would be leaving again today at noon... I made it very clear I need my card this morning. No problem I was told... I tracked the card not scheduled for delivery until 745PM!! I called cs and was told there nothing they can do. Refused to call UPS to have the delivery changed to AM refused to help me at all. So now I’m being charged by the hotel because I can’t check in and had to cancel my plans. Pi&@ poor service BOA!!! I’ve had this account for way to long.. So now I’m going to blast ?!!
