Pointless

9 times out of 10 its ok. but when you start using regularly (buying and selling),dealing the holy trinity of god awful companies (depop, hermes and paypal) is just not worth it, and if you get scammed expect to waste a lot of time trying to get your money back. I feel like this app is completely pointless. wayy better stuff for sale on ebay, or try vinted who take less money from fees.

DONT USE DEPOP THEY TAKE MORE THAN 10%…

Reviewed on 2021-05-19T06:21:25

DONT USE DEPOP THEY TAKE MORE THAN 10% AND ALSO YOUR POSTAGE MONEY! So I’ve just found out and also have it in writing!depop have indeed been taking my shipping money from every order I have made for profit! I never EVER! ship with depop and wondered why even though I set my own shipping, on my fee breakdown, Depop take my entire shipping money for each order including their 10%??? Which usually is more than 10% too. They have also just deactivated my two accounts after two years! because now suddenly I’ve caught them stealing my money they have got the hump! So I’ve been asked by a member of their little team to screen shot each transaction?! and get buyers usernames?! and take pictures of my labels that have already been sent?! and suddenly before I have the chance todo so they close my accounts ? How funny depop looks like your trying to cover up! I can take you to a small claims court for this you have taken £100s from me! EVERYONE BE WARNED! JUST USE ETSY EBAY/ OR FB OR EVEN INSTAGRAM INSTEAD!

Overpriced junk with annoying buyers…

Overpriced junk with annoying buyers who won't just buy your stuff. When I sold on Depop I made peanuts and had to deal with lots of messages.Ebay is so much more practical, I never have anyone messaging me or bartering on there. There's a reason why there's a meme page with depop messages

DEPOP = THIEVES

Reviewed on 2021-05-18T10:08:04

Depop still owes me a refund for the fee they charge on each sale which is ridiculous.A fee of 12.83 was taken for a 30 dollar item first of all. That is criminal. They charge 10% and the cost of shipping even though the buyer pays for shopping on their end? Wow.... Well, in my case a buyer somehow bought the same item TWICE (probably due to the glitchy and terrible app interface) and ended up wanting a refund. I had to refund buyer for BOTH transactions. Two identical transactions that for some reason Depop can't comprehend even though it's all right there in my summary and receipts on both Depop and Paypal. This means I am owed TWO refunds. For $12.83 EACH. I have only received ONE. Additionally, they make you refund the buyer through PayPal which cost me money from my account taking from my own earnings... In order to get the depop fee that is robbery for you, the seller back after refunding your buyer (it's not an automatically refunded for some dumb reason and Depop uses PayPal for payments but doesn't communicate with them and vice versa! Smart system guys...) you have to request it on the app. GOOD LUCK. Customer service is non existent and ignore you. I have sent many emails WITH PROOF and all I get are automated responses or lying employees saying its been refunded when it HAS NOT. I sent them my PayPal summary and still nothing. This company is corrupt and will steal your money after already taking ridiculously high fees. I've sold a lot of stuff on this platforms so they have profited from my account yet they can't send me the other $12.83 they owe me? The money that came from MY PayPal? Take your business elsewhere. It sucks now anyway with the bougie popular sellers overpricing stuff 10X the cost you can go thrift on your own and pick up for $4 bucks. Gentrified, Oversaturated & ran by THIEVES. It's a garbage app all around.

Depop is a great app for buying and reselling vintage and unique pieces! My only issue is the lack of policing on mis-tagged items.Too often, popular tags like designer names will be clogged with non-designer items that have been “tagged for exposure.” If this issue is fixed, Depop will be much more practical to use as a shopper.

Money taken despite refunding buyer

Reviewed on 2021-05-17T16:31:32

Hi there, there was a misunderstanding with paying for postage and I had something sell on my Depop for 11p instead of the £5 that I listed it for.I still have no idea how that happened and I’m not happy about it, I have subsequently removed all of my items from Depop to stop this happening in future, and I suggest you clarify how payments work as I won’t be using the app again in future for this reason. However I have now been charged £5 for postage labels which I no longer need. When I saw the mistake I immediately refunded the buyer in full but have still been charged for postage labels which won’t be used. How can I be refunded as soon as possible? Thank you very much.
