Online ordering is a customer beware endgame

Reviewed on 2021-05-19T22:51:55

I ordered some lotion from Dollar Tree online. I noticed a mistake on the order when they emailed me the receipt.I called about 10 minutes after I submitted the order online and asked them to undo the mistake or refund the money. It had not been shipped yet. Their customer service rep immediately told me that there was nothing she could do. I pressed the issue because again, the order had not been shipped yet and I had ordered it minutes prior. Still, no empathy, no consideration, not one effort to try and resolve the issue, so I asked to talk to her supervisor. She put me on hold for ten minutes then came back and said that she sent my complaint higher up and that was all she could do. I asked for a complaint number. She said it wasn't available and that they may call me back. A few days later they charged my card anyway and shipped the product. I will never shop from this company again and recommend to my shopping and golf clubs not to so as well.

Don't work for Dollar tree

Reviewed on 2021-05-13T11:01:39

I worked there for 8 and half months, close to a year, hired at 21 and bullied til I quit at 22.In my first week of training I was asked to advance to assistant manager, directly by my boss, whom prior to asking me, had met me twice. She did not train me and didn't like answering her phone, or her schedule apparently, she was the type to be seen when she decided. I said no originally to the manager position, mostly because the entry positions there, only make most minimum of a wage, and anything above only offered a 50¢ increase, if lucky, and I only got 75¢ because they were that desperate and again, I didn't want to, so they padded their offer. But 9.75 was not at all worth what they expect of the managers and wasn't worth the abuse my gm and dm let run rampid in that store. To clarify: -boss schedule the only schedule= opens 9am-and supposed to leave at 5pm, make a mid shift bank run, over see the daily needs of the store and the computer stuff into she was allowed to authorize, etc. But swear on my life, every single day she left at 3 the latest, after hiding in the store all day stacking (or just flinging where they land) boxes of endless quantities that I had to usually finish or clean up for her, while the only on site manger responsible to close and recover the store with one cashier, to her two cashier's and another manager or merchandise manager with her the morning before me, but none the less. Left me a wrecked store nightly, never left me a memo of what's going on in the store though, or ever took care of her schedule and the employees on it, only when she's crossing out names and shifts and taking away hours for reasons nobody ever had to prove or fight. But when she'd leave early daily, or just not show, she never adjusted that, and she's the only one allowed to make a schedule, and log hours for payroll, and I've personally seen her enter in "full hours" on her name and she didn't even seem to care I was right there. -her phone was never on, at night at least, for only twice the whole 8 months I worked there did she answer my call. And believe me, I had too many times where my ship was sinking and I had called every one before her to no avail, and I'd be lucky if I got a response before I close the doors at the end of the night, as if that even helped whatever problem it was, usually made it a bigger snowball than it had started and yet, blame and animosity fell on me entirely. -she would tell everyone we work with the nastiest things about me behind my back, I'm not certain if she KNEW that they would pass along that information, or if she cared if it got to me at all, but all I KNOW is she'd act two faces to me time and time again, and it becomes hard to just ignore when it's always the three regular cashier's whom were respectful, great women, that wouldn't just share that as "gossip" but shared it for personal feelings. It was a heart breaking eye opener for me though when I first met my new merchandise manager excited to have a manger to assist for a change, and first thing he tells me is He's caught of guard with me, because we unloaded a truck for a couple hours, and he absolutely loved working with me, and how I work, and the effort I spend. When I asked him why, he confided in me that my boss had convinced him the worst of me, to quote her directly, I was a "worthless piece of S*** who won't be worth the time. He had the text on a screen shot to prove it and she had made insult of injury by also verbalizing it at work to everyone. She actually ran off two or three employees from exactly that. -i will repeat I was 21 and didn't want the position before hand, and had made an agreement with her that f she'd patiently train me and guide me where I'm literally inexperienced or outside of responsibility, I'd go as far up as she needed, and gave me the false trust that she would. I've made it clear she didn't, and what she did instead. Her insults on my age and intelligence and my work in general, were all unfair and uncalled for, and 9.75 on a biweek period, with no schedule regularity, no respect or help, or actual communication face to face or even on phone, she would leave me ride notes to find if I got spoke to. If not just another write up that I had no choice but to sign, reguardless if she can prove what she claimed she wrote me up for. So if anything was reported stolen, no proof. Anything missing, no proof. Any false accusation made about me period, no proof, no cameras on site to even record anything, which is illegal, and if I didn't sign that, termination. And my dm would rather just ask me to sign it and end it then to face the music and get her store up to code. So that's why I quit when I did, after they demoted me from too many of those, to cashier's and part time, and if I didn't want to denote, it was immediate termination. No chance to redeem, and again, NO PROOF OF ANYTHING THEY USED AS REASONS TO JUSTIFY IT. They're mobsters.

Terrible

Reviewed on 2021-05-03T17:32:38

The Dollar Tree in Boutte is horrible. I was hired last Monday. I had to reapply and I called the manager and let her know that I did.She said that she was busy and said that she would update my status and to call back in 30 minutes. It was 2:50 and I called again and the employee said that the manager went home. My phone was not working properly and I even told the manager that. I didn’t have the money to fix it. I called yesterday and they said that the manager doesn’t work on Sundays. So today I called the store to talk about my status. She rudely said that “That was last week and I told you to call me back.” I did tell her that I did called. She then have the nerve to say “Well I hired someone else so”. I waited for a call back and I didn’t get anything. Not even the email she was supposed to send. I get that I could have called throughout the week, but she could have called me too. Don’t try to work there. I have never dealt with this at any of my other jobs that I had.

Three stores, three Petri dishes

Reviewed on 2021-05-02T01:51:26

Went to 2 Dollar Trees and 1 Family Dollar store today (owned by Dollar Tree) in 3 different towns in NC.In all 3 there were multiple customers walking around maskless and this isn't the first time I have seen this. Despite their "official" policy, the stores don't give a damn who walks around without a mask. And when I asked an employee why people were being allowed to walk around maskless, she acted like she didn't know anything about it. Meanwhile she had just rung up a maskless customer not 2 minutes before! My personal policy is "no mask, no money" so I left. I am DONE with these stores!

My wife and I just came home from…

Reviewed on 2021-05-01T23:20:08

My wife and I just came home from Mountain Hermon Scotts Valley California Dollar Tree branch .We were treated so badly and so rudely by one of the workers there that got myself and my wife so upset. My wife being a Nurse and my self being a Health Care Worker should never be treated like that. She didn't have to be so rude about it, she works for customer service, we even greeted her good morning and asked how she was, she didn't respond at all and started bagging our stuff without asking if we want a bag or not. There was no pleasantries on how she spoke us , she demanded for us to put the money on the counter " I don't want to touch your hand" , We understand it's pandemic and with this Covid situation we have the right to be careful about everything but we don't have to be so rude about it, there are better ways to communicate with your customers rather than degrading and traumatizing them . I hope this won't happen to anyone out there and we hope that customer service lady (she was not wearing her name badge by the way) would read this and realize how her actions affects people's day. It is not nice to be rude with your customers especially if all they were doing was shopping at your store !
