Expedia has the worst customer service. They basically put you on hold with people from India,who systematically hang up on customers 45 minutes into their claims and keep repeating this. If you ever need a refund, YOU. WILL. FIGHT. FOR. MONTHS!

ORGANIZED CRIME COMPANY!! I canceled a reservation on Expedia using their chat and was assured that they had canceled my full reservation.They had only canceled the hotel portion and not the flight. When I realized, I tried to call and was told I couldnt speak to anyone because my reservation was not within 72 hours of departure. I called, emailed, tweeted, chatted, to no avail. When I finally reached them, they said "sorry too late". They supposedly escalated it for weeks and kept saying they would have a resolution within 48 hours. NOTHING

If I could give zero stars I would. Trying to cancel a hotel. I have about 75 min into it with chat and holding on phone.No one picks up nor come on chat. Even though I access chat straight from my itinerary, it does not recognize my itinerary. The phone system does, but you cannot simply push '1' to cancel. Sounds almost like they are trying to make it so hard to cancel so you cannot and then have to pay.

Avoid avoid avoid. Expedia reserved my flight but failed to issue payment- didn’t know this was possible but what it means is no one could take my seat,but I couldn’t get a boarding pass until Expedia issued payment. The flight was otherwise sold out so I couldn’t buy it myself to make my two layovers. I was told by the desk staff this mistake happens on the part of third party vendors occasionally and should be resolvable for me to board on time for my extensive itinerary.
On my first call Expedia admitted to 100% fault but couldn’t get it together in time for me to make my flight that day. The best they could do was get me to an airport a 2 hour drive from my original destination, 24 hours after original arrival time. A request for a partial refund or credit given the sizable loss of my time and extra travel expenditures was denied. I was instead told they would “switch my flights at no extra charge.”
Then I got an email saying they could not rebook my flight after all because the value was higher than my original booking. I then had no flight for the morning. This was four hours after our first three hour conversation. Leaving me to book a first thing next morning flight at 11pm. Back onto the hold system, until 3am.
In total I spent a total of seven hours on hold, late into the night to accomplish a wildly altered time schedule. Expedia is a bad unnecessary service that makes bad, unnecessary mistakes with no apology. Just book right with the airline.
If it’s been a while with them- Expedia used to be okay, now it’s a nightmare. Trip ruined

Expedia has being a nightmare. I Tried to Book the premium room with beach view at Bavaro Palace Punta Cana,and had to try 10 times with different cards and different accounts and at the end I couldn't make the reservation. Talked to 4 different phone representatives and none of then could help me. Asked twice for a supervisor and they did not have a supervisor at 10 am. Charge at the end 10 times charges between 800+ and 2600+. At this point my blood pressure is being to the roof. I felt robbed.

TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE. I booked a flight to SP, Brazil and then two days later Expedia sent me an email saying there were changes to my flight.They added a layover. Which was fine. But then I checked the times and my second layover departed before my first layover arrived. I called Expedia and they told me the flight to Brazil was cancelled. They said it so casually like I should have known even though the email DID NOT SAY THAT. I was on the phone for 30 minutes trying to resolve the issue but they wanted me to pay an additional $400 to change it. I looked on my own and found a new flight for just a $200 fare difference and at this point I really just needed a new flight. You can't change it on your own so I had to call. It was a 2hr wait so they called me back when it was my turn. I was on the phone for 50 minutes trying to change the flight. The woman kept saying I would owe $480 for the fare difference but on their website it showed that the new flight was $1115 and I paid $875 originally so I should have only needed to pay $240. The woman on the phone kept saying, no I don't see that flight. I was literally looking at the expedia website while talking to her. Finally after literally 25 MINUTES she found the flight and said okay yeah I found it. F**ING nightmare. I am not a mean person and I did not want to be rude, but I felt that Expedia was being very unjust and sketchy and manipulative. I don't know what it is but something needs to change or be looked into!!!
