I do not like writing reviews. I find them a waste of my time. So I tent to not write anything if the service is good.However this has not been the case here:
I cannot recommend this service. They charge a standard fee for standard work that is done by their computer. Too high for my taste, but I signed up for it, so fair enough!
I then hired them in addition to the monthly fee to clear up our past submissions to tax authority. I was quoted 500€ extra and agreed.
When the work was finally done, they argued the submission to tax authority was not part of it and they charged me another 230€. So I paid that as I had no choice.
As a result of their work tax authority came back with further questions and guess what? - They charged me again for a phone call in which I was told they cannot do anything as they do not have any details.
Asking why I was paying another 125€ to be told what I could read from the letter I was told that 125€ are peanuts these days.
I am already close to having spend 1000€ for two extra monthly declaration that they advertise at 99€ each.
Additionally to the bad service is the fact that they insist on payment first before they do anything. It does not matter if they are dealing with time critical issues. No payment, no service.
Even if I tried I would find it very difficult to recommend this lot. Sorry Fabio, not good enough!

I have been running an ecommerce shop for 9 years across the EU. VAT has been my main issue before as I used different VAT advisors for each market.Hellotax was a gift for us when I was referred to them by our fulfillment company 2 years ago.
They take care of my VAT in 10 markets. I'm saving ton of money with them but I like the most that they provide one-stop shop and great support . I highly recommend them.

Hellotax / FBA Hero - Unreliable, Won't Take Responsibility For Anything

It takes a lot for me to write a poor review like this but as a former customer of Hellotax I feel that if 15 minutes of my time can save someone else a ton of time and money,it is worth it. Furthermore I hope that Hellotax, in seeing their real customers' feedback, will change their rotten culture and adopt of more customer centric approach.
We worked with Hellotax for 3+ years. There were a myriad of issues right from the beginning but here is a sampling from memory. Altohugh all VAT companies are likely to make some mistakes, the main issue I have with Hellotax (and have said it to them many times) is that they never take responsibility or offer to fix problems when they make mistakes. They blame partners, they blame governments, they blame you, they blame anyone except themselves.
1) After moving to another VAT provider, they, together with their partner cancelled 2 of our VAT numbers, tried to cancel 4. This is a long story but everyone I tell it to thinks it is nuts, which it is. They said they notified me, they didn't, said sorry I felt that way but wasn't their fault.
2) 6000 Euros in fines from Czech in registering and paying CZ VAT. They blamed their partner, said they would help me solve it even after I left them as it was their fault. After I left they said they couldn't help because I left (directly contradicting what they had said)
3) 1.5 year delay in registering for POL VAT resulting in all sorts of problems. They blamed their partner, I paid the price
That is just a small sampling. The culture of this company is rotten in my opinion. The customer service people are nice but their hands are tied by the culture coming from the top. I genuinely wish that they see this and change, for their own and for their customers' sake.
