I have been a loyal customer for more than 2 years but lately with the pricing update the app justdoesn't worth it. I was offered a free trial for the upgrade however I was charged before the trial period ended and I was unable to cancel it ! not serious at all... that's a pitty I used to like this software

I politely asked for a pro-rated refund for 4 months, after I have been a loyal customer for the last 3 years or so,paying annually. They bluntly refused, with "go to your credit card company and dispute the payment", knowing full well that the payment is over 6 months. The reason I wanted to cancel was that they have fallen behind when it comes to social media automation, but still charge a premium, compared to the likes of Buffer. Since moving to Buffer, i have got transparent pricing, a native Pinterest and Twitter integration (Twitter posting doesn't work from Hootsuite and it hasn't for years). With Buffer you get helpful emails with best practices at least twice a week. On the contrary, Hootsuite send 1 email a year and thats to see they have renewed your subscription. No warning, no nothing! Beware, but Hootsuite was good at one point but they've massively fallen behind the game and they are so arrogant that they are not bothered! Awful service and pitiful customer support!

Exactly the same as others below. I have had £360.00 taken from my bank account, 5 months before my previous subscription (for £100 for the Pro Plan to 31/07/2021)is due to expire. No email before hand with the invoice, to say what would be coming out, so I could have at least check, and I haven't used Hootsuite for over a year, so wouldn't have noticed it there either. This is a disgrace, when turning off auto-renew subscriptions, I get an expiry of 8/4/2021, when I have a current paid subscription to 31/07/2021, and a FURTHER £360.00 taken today for 01/08/21 to 31/07/2022. What an absolute con. They are stealing money from small businesses.

STAY WELL CLEAR! I trialed this and it was not for me and tried to unsubscribe. They have made it impossible to unsubscribe and then impossible to contact them.I've been unable to get any response from them and now they've taken £360. I've been trying for weeks to get a response. It's a classic example of the a corporate creating smokescreens, mirrors and obstacles to lock you into a contract you can't get out of. Avoid unless you are absolutely sure you want to pay for it!

Hootsuite is OK. It's not a great solution for serious marketers. The navigation is a trainwreck.I think the old navigation was much better. It was odd seeing them do updates and the navigation getting messier! Hootsuite has not evolved like their competitors. Their competitors offer many more features and functionality. If you're a beginner, it's OK. If you're managing multiple accounts (or multiple clients), it's best to AVOID. You will need a substantial tool that is feature-rich. Side Note: AVOID Fanbooster by Traject Social (previously Social Report). Although their platform has a lot of great features, the customer service is terrible. Social Report had a massive issue where Instagram was no longer able to be used by them. This caused a huge mess and 100s of angry customers. It was a very sketchy situation. Google "Social Report" and you'll see. One guy called it right, saying that they would rebrand. That's exactly what they did. I'm sharing this hear because their names are not yet in TrustPilot.

Common Purpose

No refund for auto subscription

I signed up to Hootsuite over a year ago and used it for a few weeks to see how it worked.It didn't really work well across multiple channels so I decided not to continue. However, Hootsuite automatically enrols you into a yearly subscription of £300. I only noticed that I'd be charged for this a few months after and challenged Hootsuite so I contacted customer services. They would not refund me even though they can see my account has been inactive because their T&C's stipulate a refund is only available within 30days of payment. Hootsuit is another tech business con with easy to catch you subscriptions, tonnes of T&C's and poor customer service.
