I've just participated in presenting at a conference on Hopin and I found it frustrating as did several other speakers I talked to. Issues: 1) Sharing a YouTube video in the practice demo sessions worked, but it didn't work live so I had to scramble to share the video via Chrome browser, which showed up choppy to the audience. 2) I've successfully chatted with a few participants one-on-one, but when chatting with one participant, the message sent, but never displayed after 2 attempts. 3) The platform is not intuitive and I (as a speaker) have had to coach a few other speakers through sharing their content 4) Several presenters at the conference today had issues where their audio would not work properly. This is not a platform I want to use again as a presenter.

My review is the same as the one below. Never again. Wasted loads of my time. caused me stress and frustration and now I need to do a video interview for an event which I could not access as a speaker. I tried three diffferent devices whilst the event was live! (I have no connection with any competitor).

I've had to use Hopin twice - both because of decisions made by other organisations that had invited me as a presenter for their events. Both times the experience was uniformly dreadful. I wouldn't mind so much, but the awful user experience reflects on my credibility as a speaker. I will in future refuse any such invitations, and insist that the host uses Zoom if they want me to participate.

Video proof here: go to YouTube and put in 4t82clz2JX4 to listen to Johnny promise over and over what App Sumo investors should expect. Johnny convinced App Sumo investors that we would get ALL future features. Instead of honoring the Hopin deal, App Sumo investors are denied features. Listen to Hopin's founder; and then notice Hopin wants $18,000 a year for basic feature upgrades. I waited six months to review Hopin... just hoping and praying that they would acknowledge our investment. (I have over 300 music artists who are constantly running events on the platform... and we are ALL disappointed with Hopin's negligence and lack of integrity.) Hopin is a great platform; it's too bad App Sumo investors are ignored and exempt from enjoying continued growth.

I have attended and run events on Hopin and love it. I especially liked the Speed Networking function and the way it mimics a live event. The user interface is simple and easy to navigate. Also, their native streaming platform with the backstage function is excellent. I will definitely be using them again for other events. Also, judging my one of the comments below, it makes me wonder if it was written by one of their competitors!?

Hopin is a product with good potential, but so are the other similar or better products on the market. The problem with Hopin is how they attempt to price gauge basic features for tens of thousands of dollars after already having breached previous deals they made. Technically speaking, they limit the streams to 720 and 25fps, their quality depends immensely on where you log in from, reflecting a very strange server deployment, Security is subpar, GDPR practically flawed, contractual terms ambiguous to say the least, the Expo section is terrible for Vendors (compared with all other competition on the market), their live customer service is deplorable (practically nonexistent), they update and work on the backend in a LIVE ENVIRONMENT, meaning your events can go bust anytime without a single warning (opening huge liabilities with your clients and audiences, especially paid ones), they silence bad reviews, ban members from their own group if they question their practices, and overall conduct themselves in a business manner that only hustlers would appreciate and celebrate as virtuous. I will not list their competition, but it is out there and providing a much better overall experience, where you can actually focus on events and on your clients. Overall, a good intention gone bad after Covid-19 hit the entire world. My rating reflects my experience after more than 6 months of using their platform and making every possible attempt to resolve issues that are common to a larger collective. Whilst the platform is really good with loads of potential, support and communication is appalling. Important questions about clear pricing, interlectual property rights and contract term are not available and when you ask about these things you get no answer from social media, their very slow (weeks) customer service or event in their own events.
