i literally did it to make a few memes. When i wanted to make a contemplation to show my friends it told me to publish them!I did that and when I decided that it was a bad idea- it wanted me to pay £20 just to make them private!

The video editor isn't bad

The video editor isn't bad, but you have to edit and download videos in under 2 days otherwise it LOCKS you out of your project and says you need to get the pro account.Luckily, I got a share link from the project before it locked and I just use that to bypass the system and edit my project. Honestly, this isn't the best free video editor.

I use Kapwing for work. I had a free account, and although had experienced a few issues with subtitles becoming scrambled or video processing,we recently purchased a pro account. I'm mid way through a larger edit- which would not have been possible with limitations of the free account- and have literally lost hours of work because the subtitles have scrambled again. SO frustrated. When I have previously reported issues, I haven't had a response. I have had to google how to make a complaint because this is not accessible from the main Kapwing dashboard. Avoid.

Kapwing is a borderline scam. Don't do it. The site is so glitchy that it cannot withstand basic tasks.It also suggests in order to access greater abilities that you need to upgrade. So you do. Then the glitches get worse. As for Pro membership offering tech support in 3-4 days, it's a falsehood. They are more than happy to ignore your messages for assistance and let the months (aka $20 per month membership) roll over without any reply. I put a lot of work into my project and in the 3 months I've had this account ($60) I had one reply in the first month that deflected the issues over to me - suggesting that it was my laptop and connection. But I'm on the latest MacBook M1 and 5G. So I'm NOT the problem. I'm trying to salvage what I can as we speak but the files are frozen, so this may just be a write off. So take this from me, don't upgrade and find yourself a better platform. Kapwing ain't it.

It's such a terrible service - I paid for Pro but the site is glitchy, the videos download incorrectly and some basic editing tools seem to appear and disappear.Really don't recommend.
