What is Lightfoot's Revenue?

Lightfoot's estimated revenue for 2023 is $8.27M.

What does Lightfoot do?

Lightfoot, based in Exeter, Devon, is dedicated to making the world's vehicles cleaner, greener and more efficient. Using real-time, in-car verbal and visual guidance, Lightfoot has proven itself in tens of thousands of vehicles to rapidly and sustainably change the way people drive to help them save fuel, reduce harmful emissions and significantly lower their chances of having an accident. As well as the fuel savings, lower risk of accidents and improved environmental impact, users also get to compete for prizes, rewards and incentives as well as monitoring their performances online via a real-time dashboard (also available as a smartphone app for iPhones and Android). The bottom line is that it is our automotive engineering and technology background that makes Lightfoot so different and so powerful. Unlike other products on the market, Lightfoot is constantly listening to your engine and is tailored to precisely the conditions your vehicle is facing. This means it is uniquely able to help you drive in the engine's sweet spot and this is where the good stuff happens... When a vehicle is being driven efficiently, in its sweet spot, it uses less fuel, produces fewer harmful emissions and is less likely to be involved in a collision.

Distracting and dangerous

Reviewed on 2021-03-10T21:26:05

The company I drive for recently replaced the driver reward system (worth up to £220 a year)with these useless devices. Distracting, annoying and borderline dangerous in many situations. The lights and shouting from the unit itself, particularly at night when already under stress, are an absolute joke. Simply accelerating to join a motorway results in a penalty point. Are we supposed to join motorway traffic at 35mph? Need to overtake a cyclist? Penalty point. Need to turn onto a busy road? Penalty point. Accelerating downhill? Penalty point. Accelerating uphill? Penalty point. A useless gimmick, poorly implemented, and the "incentives" for asking you to drive dangerously slowly are hilarious. Personally, I have gone from being an "A" rated driver on our old system, to barely scraping into the "elite driver" status, whilst having not changed my driving style at all. This is just an excuse to get out of rewarding actual decent, responsible drivers. The app itself seems very buggy and regularly requires restarting to display journeys, league tables and weekly scores. The sooner upper management realise the error of their ways and removes this awful device from our fleet, the better.

No incentive now to drive.

Reviewed on 2021-03-10T10:02:11

No incentive now to drive. No monthly reward now from work that included driving and feedback from customers.Used to get £15 a month. Just not worth it with the lightfoot lottery.

Dangerous. Will cause a serious/fatal accident

Reviewed on 2021-03-06T20:57:04

Other than 'smart motorways' I can't think of anything more dangerous on the road and one day it will be responsible for a serious or fatal accident. Why? Because however much you try to ignore it (turn radio up / cover it with a cloth) it grates on you as you drive taking your attention off the road. Our automatic vans accelerate at the pace of a snail but put your foot down and this angry woman screeches at you to slow down. One imagines her as very overweight with a bright red exhausted looking face We've lost a bonus scheme which although only small did encourage you to drive sensibly and look after your vehicle to be replaced with this junk and more chance of winning the lottery than anything on this

Pointless Device

Reviewed on 2021-02-28T14:19:06

Have driven for a supermarket for nearly four years travelling many miles per year.We have just had lightfoot devices installed and lost a perfectly good bonus scheme which gave £220 a year if you attained a Grade A or B each month. The old scheme graded you for acceleration, idling and braking. Now we have a chance to win a prize if I attain over 85% on lightfoot. Do you know what? For all the hassle it brings, I'm honestly not bothered. Lightfoot is such a waste of time and in the space of a few weeks I have come to loathe this system. It differs from vehicle to vehicle and doesn't work well with the automatic vans we drive, often going into the amber and red despite slow acceleration and waiting for the automatics to change gear ! I was graded A for acceleration in the old scheme yet, using lightfoot, its a lottery what score you get, despite driving the same at each drop ! To keep in the green, you have to accelerate at a snail's pace which doesn't bode well when you are in timed drops, nor if you have to speed up quickly for a particular reason ! I am not a speeder in any case and accelerate gently, but with lightfoot, the acceleration required to keep in the green is just too slow and isn't conducive to driving well. It is also very annoying with its silly lights and the frustrating woman's voice saying 'go steady' or 'nudge' and giving you a percentage score and a comment each time you switch the engine off ! I try to be out of the door before she starts to utter her tones as it just grates you after a while ! I honestly don't care about it anymore and have put something over it so neither I have to see nor hear it ! In the old scheme, it made me really consider my driving, yet using lightfoot just adds to your frustration levels. What a waste of time and money - it certainly hasn't improved my driving. In some ways, it could make it worse, as you get distracted by the flashing lights and noises it makes. I dread to think how much money this has cost to implement in all the vans throughout the company. A complete backward step in my opinion and, for what it's worth, I'm all for change if it improves matters.

Concept is a good idea

Reviewed on 2021-02-27T22:32:13

Concept is a good idea, but honestly it should of been tested more in areas and severely lacks safety, joining a motorway or going through rural areas slowing down and then trying to overtake a cyclist gets you red and causes more rage from people behind you, also the choice of placement i would of thought would be illegal, they say it offers less accidents but i honestly don't see how, putting it in the centre of the steering wheel area on the dashboard means more drivers are concentrating on that especially at night to avoid a penalty rather than looking at the road ahead, i could understand if it was more of an audio aid at the side like the photos but it is not, there put right in the middle and can be seen when generally driving causing a distraction which i would of thought would be no different of a distraction that changing the radio or looking at a phone or sat nav both of which dont advertise they decrease accidents
