The maccosmetics.com website is TRASH. i placed a $300 order and they cancelled the whole order the next day with NO EXPLANATION!when i inquired about the cancellation i was transferred to 3 or 4 different agents explaining “this is above them and they have to do a full investigation on why my order was cancelled they will have to contact me in 48-72 hours about it” ????? i have never experienced anything like that with ANY other website... i was extremely confused. the last agent i spoke to stated that she/ he was sorry i was so upset... i wasnt upset i just wanted to know why they needed a full investigation on why an order was cancelled? absolutely ridiculous, will NEVER order there online again!! now im upset lol!!

Mac is one of the shining examples of an online retailer - the products always arrive in flawless condition,Customer care always resolves a query in 1-2 quick messages and I’ve always had a great experience.
Just this week I signed up to a waitlist for a sold out shade in a new blusher, then reluctantly ordered a similar shade. When I opened the box I found that I was sent the shade I wanted and was over the moon! Just little touches like this are very much appreciated x

I love their products, but when it comes to customer support, this service is awful.My last experience was with Georgiana, from Romania team. I have called to ask about the free gift for the Mac Lovers campaign. If you reach a certain amount spent on purchases, then you would receive (at least that's what they advertise) a free gift. Georgiana was "kind" enough to point out that she could actually give me the free gift that I wasn't able to claim during the campaign period because of technical errors on their side, but she just didn't want to do it. I felt humiliated by her, she didn't even try to understand what happened during the purchase and why I was not able to claim the gift, she was just blaming me, claiming that their system is "perfect" and the error was certainly on my side, and after all it was just a free gift in her opinion so "I didn't actually lost anything". In my opinion, that type of persons don't belong to these customer facing positions.

The products are great but the service in store is TERRIBLE. why don’t they hire more staff to cater to the influx of customers.The last time in went into MAC parramatta, the lady was meant to be helping me but walked off and served 8 customers at the counter while I waited literally 10 minutes.

Do not order online! I had to ask for a refund when my item didn’t turn up for a month!Only to tell me the item was not in stock WHEN IT WAS STILL ONLINE AND I HAD BEEN GIVEN A CONFIRMATION EMAIL! I sent two emails one directly to Mac who responded with ‘this very rarely happens’ when in fact this is the third time it has happened to me. Holding my money for an item you don’t have, no communication until I ask for my money back! Awful

I love mac anyway! It's my favourite brand of makeup but I just wanted to give a shout out to Renee via whatsapp- 16/01/2021 as she recommended me a shade of foundation just via photos.I've finally tried that shade and its perfect so thankyou Renee- You're a genius!!

Echoing what others have said: Do not order from Mac online. They will give you a tracking number that does nothing,make a lot of false promises, and then take their sweet time refunding your money. I have loved and purchased many Mac products over the years, so their neglect stings. I think I'll just have to buy from Nordstrom or Sephora now.
