Sorry I have not taken the time to play around with it yet. I have it installed and doing backups.I want to find a way to do backups on demand for those times when the backup drive was not turned on in time to catch the back up. But I think it's likely doing as it's supposed to do. Just too early for me to tell.

Very pleased with this product. The instructions and explanations are clear and easy to follow for someone who is just learning about doing backups.This is especially valuable to me since my poor internet speeds make it very difficult to back things up to the cloud. Macrium Software makes it easy to make sure that my files are always backed up and secure should something go wrong. I also appreciate the Ransomware protection!

It is difficult to rate this software…

It is difficult to rate this software because the true test occurs when you need to restore data from a backup and I haven't needed to do that.Additionally, other than Windows 7 backup and recovery I have nothing to compare against - and I didn't have to use that to restore either. Certainly not a GUI interface for a novice, but neither do you need to have expert levels of knowledge.

Setting up backup for first time is confusing. Also, although I keep setting up my incremental backup for 2;00 a.m.,it always reverts to 9:00 a.m.

I know Macrium from Bracer Jack's youtube while i had my previous laptop for 1 month.I did the steps just from curiosity and something happened with my laptop after updating. It crashed. Then i reset back with Macrium and it did what it told. As the problem went on, i returned my laptop. However, since then i use Macrium mainly to make first image and that what i did with my new laptop. I bought the paid version, used it in my new laptop for backup and other capability that i need to study further. But from my past experience, i know what is the better steps to reset back to the first time i bought this laptop...and Macrium is already there to save the day.
