Useless Motorola Service

Reviewed on 2021-04-22T08:59:19

My wife bought me a new Motorola G9 power phone for my Birthday. Whilst, so far, the phone is excellent,(one week old) the customer service is a disgrace. a- The box contains the phone, charger and a booklet indicating operating instructions and service numbers. The glaring exception is where to register the product for guarantee. b- Many websites for Motorola are unavailabe. I eventually found one with a chat function for the UK. The operative gave me a website to register the product. This site loads and even has a link to register the product. Clicking on the link directs you to an issue which is nothing to do with registration. Clicking on the link a second time returns not available. c- I then phoned Sales using the official number: dead. Then I phoned technical support. The answering machine was so feint I could hardly hear it with speaker on and turned to maximum volume. I can only conclude Motorola does everying in its power to prevent registration of products.

Poor customer service! False advertising

Reviewed on 2021-04-12T23:13:22

I had a motorola G power that randomly shut off one day and wouldn't turn back on after having less then six months. There was no physical damage to the phone; no scratches, no water damage, and no screen damage. I called motorola and the person I spoke to said my phone was still under warranty and they will either fix my existing phone or send me back a new one. I assumed it'd be a refurbished one which I was fine with. The person sent me an email with a fedex shipping label and I sent it back. A few days go by and I received a call/voicemail saying they were unable to fix the phone because it had a bend and they were sending it back. So I called and spoke with them and all they told me was I lied about it having damage and then they laugh and scoffed at me. I talked to another person who believed to be a supervisor and that person did the same thing. I was told they will not warranty any phone with a cracked screen, any visual damage or and visual damage THEY see because they are looking at it with different eyes. So I'm out a phone, the person who bought this phone for me as a gift is out money, I'm out time, and I'm out more money for a new phone. Motorola is nothing but a scam and I believe 4 of the 5 people I spoke to were the same person. Do not waste your money on their products. And please don't trust their false advertising of "WARRANTY".

Moto-whor-la (see what I did there!)

Thought I'd buy a mobile direct from the manufacturer for once. Woops! Everything seemed fine, except when I got my confirmation e-mail from Motorola, there was no way to find any tracking info on the mobile I had bought. So, turns out, Motorola's UK website uses an Irish firm called 'Digital River', to handle the payments/processing etc. Then what happens is, these two companies will just pawn you off back and forth. Whether they actually just employ dumb people or train them specifically to screw you over is hard to tell, but either way, they ain't interested. Once they have your money, they'll just keep it as long as they can, making it incredibly difficult to get a hold of anyone, not that any of them seem inclined to help you. Avoid like a plague of lepers.

Spent months trying to buy a phone but still don't have one.

Reviewed on 2021-03-30T14:56:32

Spent months trying to buy a phone - Still have no phone. Ordered the phone as a gift,it said it would arrive in about a week, I thought great, sorted. Nope. A week went by and the order was still on 'processing'. I checked the store page and the phone was 'out of stock' suddenly. I tried to cancel my order, but the system told me that the order didn't exist. Contacted support and asked them to cancel it, they also told me the order didn't exist. I said ok, I will order a different phone. Sure enough the same thing happened again, ordered a phone that was IN STOCK and then it was stuck on processing, week later I contact support again and explain my situation. After some questions they finally found my orders, cancelled the first one, and told me that the 2nd phone I ordered was out of stock, but there should be more coming in soon. I told them ok, I will wait for the stock to come in, don't cancel my order. They agreed, and they said they'd raise the order with the admin team to make sure it goes through, and that I'd hear from them again shortly. Radio-silence. When I login on the site, both orders are still there, but it's been a month since I spoke to them last, and absolutely nothing. Impossible to order a phone from them, apparently. How on earth do they make money? Waste of time and didn't get a gift in time for my partner.

Really Bad Customer Service: No refund yet!

Reviewed on 2021-03-24T21:41:45

Over the past 5 years or so, I have purchased 5 Motorola phones. I have been quite happy so far up until the last phone I purchased. It was a One Fusion Plus. I decided to send it back because it did not support all of the T-Mobile bands. They sent me a prepaid shipping label and I returned it in the original box with all accessories all in pristine condition. They received it on 3-8-2021 and I still have not received a refund to my credit card. I have called them 3 times to get an update and each time they say they will escalate the issue and promise to get back to me in 24 to 48 hours, which never comes. Being a good Motorola customer you would think they would provide much better customer service. This will be the last phone I will buy from them. Just really bad service. I will now just dispute the credit card charge and let them deal with the charge back.
