Some scents are not very good

Reviewed on 2021-03-25T11:44:41

Buying products online can be a hit or miss thing, especially when you can't smell them or touch them. All the more when you are unable to return them as the company is based across the pond and you live in the UK. This was the case with my most recent order from Native. I absolutely loved their coconut & vanilla scent & all the teenage fresh and citrusy scents. I have found their mens citrus & herbal musk shower gel too overpowering and artificial and not a very sophisticated smell. Tangerine and citrus blossom deodorant had a way too " bitter " quality about it, that really stood out when applied to the skin. I understand that this is down to personal preference. Unfortunately, I will be giving my products away as they are not my kinda '' scents '' Just shame I have paid a premium price for premium products and will be unable to return them for a refund.

I've been a Native user for over a year…

I've been a Native user for over a year now with the subscription service. Its so nice being able to have confidence in a product so as not to have harmful ingredients. Two of my growing into teens children are now Native users as well, and I'm at peace knowing their deodorant is junk-free.

Very disappointing

Reviewed on 2021-03-12T14:26:10

I had such high hopes for this product and boy was I disappointed. I ordered the plastic free paper packaging and it is very flimsy, but the main sticking point is the actual product. I never in my life had smelly armpits even with not applying deodorant for days! This only changed since using this product. I have no idea what they put in it but it actually makes me sweat more, I never had this issue before. It's extremely pricey and I'm glad that I only ordered a couple to try. Save yourself some money and choose another natural product.

Didn’t Work? Read ON

Reviewed on 2021-02-22T18:27:46

For those of you who tried Native deodorant and it didn’t work, please read this. I tried it too and it didn’t work either.Only to find out from my daughter that it doesn’t work for a lot of people who just rub it in their underarms. After applying it, you need to lightly rub over the area with your fingertips. This helps to activate the ingredients with your body. Then it takes 2 weeks of use before it starts working. I tried it, and it DOES actually work. It is a great deodorant and works well, BUT only if applied correctly. Give that a shot. It is possible it won’t work, but more than likely it will.

Sadly doesn't work

Reviewed on 2021-02-06T21:46:13

I have been using Native deodorant for 4 months now and it's not great. It's not an antiperspirant and you have to reapply it a lot.I like the idea but doesn't really work irl.

Disappointing - it didn’t work for me & won’t be buying it again.

Reviewed on 2020-12-22T07:38:31

I had wanted to try Native from January this year and didn’t get a chance until April. As someone who has tried a fair few natural deodorants I hate to say that Native did not work for me. And annoyingly I had bought the promo pack ( 3 pack) which meant I had to use them up before considering buying something else. I’ve been using the deodorant for the last 7-8 months as I was hopeful things would get better. I got the coconut one, lavender and citrus scents. I will say the scents are nice and not overpowering. But unfortunately, that’s as far as it goes for me. I found that Unless I really rubbed the deodorant into my skin it left white marks- it just doesn’t absorb onto the skin as I would have anticipated. Also if I were to use it alone (without the aid of another deodorant brand) I’d probably only get 5 hours max out of the deodorant. I’ve had to pair it with the salt of the Earth deodorant crystal stick in order to increase the longevity And effectiveness of the native deodorant. Something I didn’t expect I’d have to do. Needless to say, I won’t be buying it again. It may work for some but it definitely didn’t work for me. A shame as I really hoped I’d be a consistent user and buyer of the brand.

If I could give zero stars I would

Reviewed on 2020-12-19T23:56:34

If I could give zero stars I would. Maybe minus zero. When I realize it was not worth the money I canceled my subscription.I got a response from an automated email system but nothing else. They emailed me today stating that my order is being prepared. I sent them a message to cancel the order. They had already charged my card. I never heard back. Then I got a message from ups stating my order was awaiting a shipping label with tracking number and estimated delivery date. I contacted my bank today and they are doing an investigation. They know that if I dispute this with my bank Ivwill get my money back. They are a rip off. I wii be contacting my lawyer on Monday. They totally disregard my request to cancel my subscription and continue to charge my card. If a business does not have a business number do not give them your business. I see this happening a lot . No phone number to speak to someone only email or message through the website. I have learned my lesson. You are sad people. The reviews on this site that are giving five stars are paid. Don’t be fooled.

Does not last

Reviewed on 2020-12-09T16:27:13

I have been using natural deodorant for about 2 years now, so wanted to try out Native. I was initiallyquite impressed as I got a really good deal with a promo code and the scents are all really nice (I ordered a pack of three, annoyingly!). These are honestly not very good, as some other reviews have stated here, the deodorant has very little lasting effect. It does prevent you smelling but I would say it only achieves that for about 6-8 hours. It also made my clothes smell almost damp at the armpit which no other natural deodorant has done, and I’ve tried about 4 different brands. My sister also had the exact same experience. Like I said, I have used natural deodorant for a while now so there was no chance of this being a need for me to ‘detox’ or stick with it till any antiperspirant had worn off. Personally I think this is a case of attractive marketing, investing in Instagram ads and using influencers. There are much better brands out there that I will be going back to that really do last the full day and didn’t cause any weird smells on my clothes. I wouldn’t waste your money on Native or be fooled by overly positive reviews.
