Basically, it's full of scammers and fake profiles and listings. Just to add insult to injury,for reasons that they so far have refused to tell me, they terminated my account due to some violation of their community guidelines. On top of that, just prior to that I paid $500 to a seller which never sent the item, and offerup has also refused to give me the $500 back. So pretty aweful a service.

I can not believe how many scammers are on this site!! Let alone how OfferUp is allowing the scammers to leave their posts up?!?The scammers are obvious. They either have limited pictures, poor quality pictures, extremely low prices for a car that's in great condition, they ask you to contact them through an email they wrote in the description rather than communicating through the site and they have multiple posts of the same cars just with different angles using a different email. THIS SITE HAS ZERO SECURITY / PROTECTION FOR PEOPLE THAT ARE TRYING TO MAKE AN HONEST SALE!!! OfferUp has no shame! There is a reason why BBB has been contacted and OfferUp hasn't responded!! BE CAREFUL PEOPLE!!!

Had 8 scammers message me within 15 mins immediately after posting. I listed 3 items and had a ton of scammers message me.That’s the only time anyone has shown interest in any of my posts as well, other than lowball offers. HORRIBLE. Sketchy, untrustworthy, and just not safe at all.
