Since Altice has stepped into the picture, they have turned into a money hungry, low class company with horrible customer service.I called to pay the past due on my account and they made an unauthorized charge and took the whole amount of the bill! Every customer service agent that I spoke to (whom all sounded like a carribean family living in the same house), gave me the run around about why it "accidentally" happened and I should be receiving a refund. Needless to say that refund never came. They are all about money 1st and customer service last now. Just look at News 12s online page. nothing but ads now. Horrible to say the least

They are the worse company ever. It has been 11 days and my email problem still hasnt been fixed.I message them and call daily. They all state the same thing. Managers are no exsistent and if you do get one they are no help either. How can they run a business like this. My husband has had a techinal problem with the tv's and 4 times people came and either they didnt have the right equipment or they couldnt figure out the problem. That is still not fixed. We pay over $200 a month..for what? I guess we are now going to have to go shopping to go with another company. I do not know who is running the company but they really need to read these reviews.

MAX IS THE WORD CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON EVER! He was no help, very rude, and cut my off when I was speaking.He was unable to transfer me to someone who can help and pretty much told me "I lied" about getting a $10 credit when someone through the chat said it was approved. He also continued to tell me over and over again that I "failed to understand" which I thought was not professional. Thinking about leaving Optimum for sure!

Pathetic Service.

I have 3 cable boxes in my home. For several months, one of them has had recurring issues.One day it will work fine, the next, "Error" - this happens constantly. I'm not stupid, I know to try rebooting the box, I know to check for loose wires. I've done all of that. Getting any sort of human support is like pulling teeth and when you do, they're robotic and unhelpful. They keep telling me there's an "outage" in my area and they can't do anything until its resolved. How long has this "outage" lasted, exactly? Again, I have had this issue for MONTHS with this one cable box/unit. They suggested the box was the issue. I went to the store in person and swapped it out for a brand new one. Same problem. I literally came home, plugged it in and got an error message immediately. The next day, it worked. Today, error. Again. I try to call the number on the screen for help, and I get told they're closed and to try again tomorrow. Just maddeningly terrible customer service. If you're going to rip me off and overcharge me for your services as it is, at least pretend to care about your customers. I will be looking into different options and would really like to take my business elsewhere. Optimum is garbage. I'd give them 0 stars if I could.

I would give ZERO stars if I could! IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO SIGN UP WITH OPTIMUM, DO NOT!THEY SCAM PEOPLE BY SENDING OUT AN OLD MODEM AND ONCE THE CUSTOMERS COMPLAIN, THEN THEY SEND A NEW BOX. I ONLY FOUND THIS OUT BECAUSE WHEN THE TECH CAME WITH THE NEW BOX, HE SAID HE DOES THIS ALLLLL DAY LONG! JUST REPLACES THE OLD BOXES THEY SET NEW CUSTOMERS UP WITH. I just called because my internet (including the 5G) has been going in and out - as a result, it's affecting my job, and not to mention it's eating my cell data up. SO I called customer service...as a matter of fact I'm still on with them. The guy has been useless, rude and really he can't give two s*&%s. I've been on with this guy for the last hour. I was told in the beginning to give him a second to review the account - which I did - but then when I asked where he was, he did not respond, YET, I could hear him typing and breathing. I let him know that they may or may not record their calls but I DO since I have my work phone app on the phone - how convenient for me!! SO I let him know I'd be sharing this on social media & hung up. He gets back on the phone to tell me that we got disconnected - I let him know that no...I hung up b/c I don't like to be ignored for 15 minutes and 33 seconds! He AGAIN took time to review my account and he continued to APOLOGIZE because the "SYSTEM WAS SLOW" - I laughed because OH THE IRONY! The internet service provider that has crappy internet (and customer service) is having internet issues. FUNNY! FINALLY, Employee # so3 informed me that a supervisor was available...mind you this is after 45 minutes of waiting on hold...The supervisor, Nigel, offered me a $10 credit because that's "all the system is allowing"....I asked him for the previous reps name and informed him that when I asked SO3 for his name, he conveniently put himself on mute. Multiple times. Well, he doesn't have that information from the system...just has an employee code and when I told him that I'd be taking the time to write all these reviews, he asked if I would please not do so - this way they can train SO3 better. I let him know that I am in this line of business (sales/customer service) and I'm going through training right now - we've already fired 2 new hires as a result of them not making the cut. Optimum is a god damn scam and I swear on my life that if I ever win the lottery, I will use every last dollar I won to start a company called F^@% Optimum, LLC. They are a bunch of crooks that take as much as they can and hire people w/half a damn brain cell so they only have to get paid minimum wage. F^@k optimum, f^@ Nigel but mostly, f^@ SO3. AND SINCE OPTIMUM IS GOING TO GET THIS REVIEW FORWARDED TO THEIR EMAIL -- BUT JESUS, IF YOU GUYS DO, PLEASE LISTEN TO THAT CALL AND PROBABLY EVERY OTHER ONE TO SEE WHAT THE HELL I WAS JUST ON THE PHONE FOR OVER AN HOUR FOR. . .WITH ABSOLUTELY ZERO RESULT. Y'ALL CAN TAKE THAT TEN DOLLAR CREDIT AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR ASSES. SPECTRUM IS GETTING CLOSER AND I DON'T CARE IF I HAVE TO PAY THEM 100X MORE, I'LL GLADLY DO SO.

The worst experience I’ve encountered with a company

Shut off my services a week early prior to my moving date. 1st rep tells me I need to pay anothermonthly fee to re-activate my account when it is their mess up...next rep tells me my services will be restored within the next 30 mins....fast forward 4 hrs call back. Am told it will be 4-6 hrs....call back, am told no, both those reps were wrong. They don’t get to “these types of tickets” until days end. Now been a full day I’m out my services bc of their mess up. I work remote and could not work today, I’m sure I’ll be calling back in tomorrow when my services are still not working. I wish I could give this review 0 stars

Every year 30% price hike

Initially their service plan would look value for the money. But this is just to make you fall into their trap.After that they will increase the price every year more than 30% without proper communication. Service is also not that reliable. You will see the frequent connection drops. Not worth it.
