Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. I ordered around 15 shoes online in November. I got the confirmation email.A month later I emailed to check the status. Apparently the order never went through and by this point the shoes I wanted were out of stock. CS told me to order the shoes that were in stock and they would match the sale price from November. Only 1 out of the 15 were in stock and so they could only match one of them. I ordered other shoes thinking they could give me the sale price but they couldn't and I tried canceling within 5 minutes of ordering. They couldn't cancel it and told me to return the shoes once they arrived. Now I have to pay shipping to return the box. Customer service sucks and they're a mess.

I didn't go in to the store expecting fancy high quality shoes. As a teenager I used to buy a lot of my shoes from Payless but I hadn't been back in years until recently.I needed some hiking boot type shoes - but I didn't need them for real hiking so I didn't want to spend a fortune. Got a good looking pair for cheap and a pair of slippers too. I'll come back again.

Shoddy, NO Quality Shoes

I never had any issues with Payless ShoeSource prior to their latest bankruptcy. I received an email from Payless ShoeSource about a month ago saying they were back in business.I purchased a pair or Yogah sandals and Yogah flip flops for a nominal price but the shipping was more than what I paid for the shoes. The merchandise I received can't be called shoes because shoes are intended to protect your feet from the bare ground. What I received cannot be worn as the soles are VERY thin and as light as a piece of paper. The shoes appear as though they will crack if I try them on. I emailed customer service as Payless only has an online presence, no stores for returns. Maria from Customer Service advised me I would have to "shoulder" the return shipping costs which would not be refunded. I advised her the merchandise was shoddy and couldn't be used for its intended purpose and it would cost me more to return than what I paid for the shoes. I received no response back from Payless Customer service so it's apparent they DO NOT stand by their merchandise and will not make any exceptions to allow the customer to return severely inferior merchandise with pre-paid postage.
