I just experimented Prestashop for the first time without any knowledge. I impressed by the way we can easily create a shop in few hours.The new version has been migrated on Symfony which is a powerful php framework that give the website strong performance. I strongly recommand it !

PS is a great shop solution.
Anyway I'd like to ask for some improvements:
- make customer reviews onthemes and modules available to everyone
- integrate a full backup and migration function to the basic installation of PS
- provide a more detailed documentation for PS for free
- get professional books about PS out on the market explaining full functionality and implementation guides - for a decent price.
- keep your great work.

There are sellers who are selling crap and prestashop allows them to go on and that makes prestashop unreliable.Presta should support buyers, not bad sellers to be better. You really can loose money and time with presta. ETS-Soft is one good sample, actual upate did not work- seller disappered - no refund- useless module sold by ets and presta. Reviews on page are not real- reviews actually sent by the seller:-) suprisingly good reviews for the product that does not work. Good part is that you can find the "warning " text about the reviews, it honestly is out there like this:
"The reviews were selected by the developer of this product according to the satisfaction expressed by the customers."
Lots of money spent over these years. Basically most modules stopped working after updating the presta so update might be more expensive that most people thinks. Basically presta is like a car without spare parts when needed. Good part is that it is possible to get it working good, but it requires lots of money and that spending will never end.

It was my first shop with no previous experience so was sometimes a difficult learning curve.There was plenty of assistance on the forum and I got it up and running. A more complicated shop than mine would take more skill or time than I had available
