€50 fee for TT (€74 before I complained!)
Reviewed on 2021-03-05T09:06:05
Sent TT funds out of the Netherlands. Most banks overseas, in Hong Kong or UK, will charge around £8 to £10.I was unable to visit the country due to lockdown. Somebody "helped" me to do this instead. They took advantage, a month later €74 of fees landed in my account.
First complaint, he tried to fobb me off with the spurious "reason" that the recipient bank charges also. I know this is not the case; my bank has never charged me a penny for incoming remittances.
€74 for this is completely absurd and unreasonable. €50 is also 4 or 5 times the usual reasonable cost for such international transfers, based on my experience.
BEWARE EXCESSIVE CHARGES BY RABOBANK.
Check in advance.

The worst customer experience at Rabobank!!!
Reviewed on 2020-12-01T10:31:56
The customer service really SUCKS at Rabobank!!! I never write reviews when I am unsatisfied with a service, but Rabobank got me so frustrated that I dont see any other way...
3 weeks ago, I clicked on a phishing email and I had to block my account and the pincode. But they said in 3 work days i will receive both the card and the pincode, and my account will be activated again. But 3 weeks passed, and I have received 2 new cards, 1 of which they said also somehow got blocked (by their own mistake which they couldnt explain properly...) and I couldnt use that card and the new pincode that came with it anymore. So they told me to wait 3 working days and I will receive new card and new pincode.... yet I am still waiting... for the third week... to receive my pincode to log in to my banking app and pay my rent and all the transactions.. and whenever I call them every person gives me a completely different answer about the problem. They are so bad at managing customers I dont know what to say. I feel so stupid for still holding a rabobank account... also the system is so outdated that it requires you to have a weird scanner device with you every time you have to log in or make a large transaction through the browser. Like in which century are we living in?? Now I have to go to the bank in Amsterdam again (for the fifth time) to try to solve the issue and at least pay my rent somehow through the bank. ???♀️ I am definitely, 100 percent opening a bank account at ING or ABN instead soon.read more
Discrimination at Rabobank
Reviewed on 2020-08-13T15:40:14
I don't recommend Rabobank! They are not trustworthy, nor transparent. Their customer service SUCKS.
I wanted to open a business account in Rabobank.
I've recently registered a business.I am not a private client of this bank. I decided it will be smart to divide income and not to keep all in one place.
The bank said that they don't want to open an account to me.
Although the website says you can open a business account while you don't have a private one.
Absurd.
Process: I called to the bank to open the account. I've been asked if I have a private account 3 times (call menu, one person, second person). I said no 3 times.
Then the second person showed discrimination towards me refusing to open the business account.
The reason - because I don't have any services or products that I use by Rabobank. And that I don't want to say in which bank I have my private savings. And because I indicated the reason why I chose Rabobank for my business account as it is one of the biggest banks (so I can trust it).
The questions were asked in the form of enquete. It seemed not obligatory, not transparent anyways.
No information on my side other than name and kvk number were checked. So without anything about me they make a choice of their clients. Pure discrimination.
Simply he didn't like me and didn't like that I don't want to answer a question about my private savings. But my private account is my private thing. If this is an obligatory question then it has to be clear and transparent.
NOT RECOMMENDED.
I don't want an account there after all this even for free.read more
