Product is great but the buying…

Product is great but the buying experience is so poor. I’ve been considering some Vans for a while and finally decided to plump for a pair.Ordered direct from them as I thought this would be the easiest/cheapest/best experience. Well I wish I’d seen the reviews on here first. Their service is terrible by 2021 standards. We live in a world of online shopping which has been boosted further by C-19 and these guys are in 1994!!! I’ve since found out that they ship from Europe to Yodel and then it comes to you, but the lack of communication is shocking. You’ll get an email about 3-4 after buying to say your order has been shipped (to me this is already too long) but what they mean is they’ve sent it from Europe! So your tracking won’t update for 6 WORKING DAYS! Which is ludicrous. I emailed them after a few days as I thought there was an issue - they didn’t respond for 4 days. So I tweeted them and they came back to me within an hour. Finally the shoes arrived but quite frankly the whole experience took the shine off the excitement and I’m just so surprised such a big company operates like this. Left me feeling worried that if the shoes didn’t fit then I’d have a real fight to return them. Zero confidence, wouldn’t recommend and would not shop with them again. Only have the extra star because the shoes are okay.

Absolutely awful service. Unable to tell who is lying, Vans or Yodel. 1 pair of pk ripper old school £65,and 3 weeks later still nothing except automated email responses from vans and yodel denials of receiving the package. Vans are more than happy to take your money but not able to send the goods. I know I will not be able to cancel or get a refund because how can you have a 30 day returns / cancel policy to use when you haven't received the item to start with. I refuse to get knocked on this and would love to know what legal action can be taken.

Ordered two pairs two weeks ago, got an email a week ago saying they were with yodel and still no delivery date!Asked for an update from vans two days ago and still no update! Will not be ordering again, shocking service!

Ordered a pair of slip-ons and received a confirmation saying they'd be delivered in 3-5 working days,that was over a week ago and the tracking number (Yodel's crappy tool) shows that they're still waiting for the parcel. VANS have also failed to respond to the 2 messages I've already sent them Either VANS or Yodel are lying - either way I won't be using either again.

Order a pair of trainers worth of £130 7 weeks ago. Not a peep from vans. Contacted them and was told since it's "custom made" it takes a while to manufacture.Coincidentally, right after the phone call I received an email stating it has been shipped and will be delivered next day. It's been 5 days ago. Contacted again and was told a different story that it was out of stock in the uk and now it's been shipped from Europe. Get your story straight VANS! Huge disappointment.

Bought 2 items from the online store, get an email canceling the order hours later with no reason. Ido not believe both item are put of stock and if they were why was I still be able to purchase the items. Now I have to wait 5-7 days for my money. Awful company will never use again.

Absolutely terrible! I usually do not write reviews however this has angered me so much I am.I received a notification that my parcel had been shipped 5 days after my order, to find out Vans is lying about this. The parcel has not left them yet. I am now a week later. I have contacted Yodel who have confirmed they have not yet received a parcel, Vans has only booked the package in. I do not recommend buying from Vans. UK directly. I have tried contacting them regarding the status of shipping without success, terrible customer service. Thoroughly disappointed!

Like Emma Fretwell I read lot of the bad reviews here and I thought I would post my good review. I ordered from Van's Outlet uk,dispatched next day and received in just over a week, due to shipping from abroad plus it was over the Easter holidays. The products were correct, and excellent with 60% discount. Because of the delay, I spoke to Vanessa, on Vans’ Chat Line. She was extremely helpful and as well as reassuring me she noticed that I had mistakenly used an old, defunct, email address on my order which explained why I hadn’t received my order confirmation. Excellent website, products, price and service. Thank you Vans and Vanessa!
