Verizon

Reviewed on 2021-02-15T22:35:21

Verizon, as a company, is truly a dysfunctional and broken company. I have spent countless hours on the phone with customer service (at 855-376-3206) or tech support, which although very nice and polite for the most part, are incapable of solving even simple issues. You hang up thinking your problem is on the way of getting solved, just to call a week later and go through another hour (or two) with another person, for the same issue you already called. I dare upper management or shareholders to listen to all my calls (which should be recorded) and study my case, so they can see how bad it all is. A simple example: for no fault of ours, we were getting double billed on our business suddenly (it had to do with switching to digital service). It took monthly calls for a full six months for them to finally solve something that should have taken literally 10 minutes on the first call. I don't think the problem is with the nice customer service or tech folks; it's an actual broken system behind it, which renders them incapable of truly helping you. Sad part is that this review, nor a thousand like this, will change a company that has, or has had, such monopolistic power. Although technically not a monopoly anymore, their traditional importance and pervasiveness makes them a monster too hard to defeat. Was I a congress person, I would certainly look into it, for the sake of protecting the unknowing and usually busy consumer with limited options.

Verizon wireless is a fraudulent company in my opinion they will terminate your service because they treat customer like garbage and we are just a disturbance to them how dare we expect help!Your lucky if you get anything beyond there script. They will make tickets to just ignore them and blame you. There is no accountability at all they know nothing will happen to them hang up and threats all accepted and any other complaint gets ignored some will just laugh at you. Pretty sure they run around and hi5 each other.they will also violate your rights and silence you. As one rep stated " we get paid regardless"

Verizon exploiting pandemic for profit while actually creating hardships for essential workers.

Reviewed on 2021-01-09T19:43:35

Verizon's customer service is atrocious. I will admit at one time it used to be good but that was some time ago.I was told after having over an hour of my time wasted yesterday that I would be given a 50 dollar credit on my account. They applied a 30.00 credit. I called back today and was given the runaround by the first representative who tried to claim that they had higher than usual call volume. When you slash services and lay off half the staff in customer service exploiting the pandemic for profit then be honest about why there are long waits. All of those jobs can be done at home so there was no reason to slash one job. At this point the representative wanted to begin arguing with me and I asked for the supervisor. After waiting over 40 minutes for a supervisor I called back on another phone without disconnecting the first call. I got a representative on the phone and at that point I had been waiting for over 1 hour and 23 minutes on the other call for the "supervisor" I asked for. Within 5 minutes she said she had a supervisor available. So much for calls taken in the order they are received. I knew the other employee simply planted the call with no intentions of actually getting a supervisor. I know this trick well I used to run a call center. When the second person attempted to transfer the call they disconnected me. No call back from them because they don't care. The first call is now going on 1 hr and 41 minutes. In my opinion one of the greediest corporations currently in operation. If Verizon spent just a fraction on providing good customer service that they do on marketing the appearance of good customer service there would be something to work with. This by itself is bad; however they also previously created a hardship for an actual nurse and essential worker seeing patients out in the community during the pandemic. Their senior leadership was made aware of this and they were cavalier and dismissive. This was in the Executive Resolution Level. So much for their support of essential workers. As an "essential worker", veteran, and 9/11 first responder I find it offensive when Verizon thanks me for my service, tells me how they support my role as an essential worker while at the same time putting their foot in my face and dismissively telling me to go away for calling them out on this. There are a lot of ways Verizon could support essential workers but that is not their goal. Their goal is simply to make as much money as they can, in any way they can, exploiting anyone or anything in the process to accomplish this. Actions do speak louder than words regardless of how disconnected the public has become with that FACT. Verizon will of course respond with saying they are in the process of moving to at home customer service workers. Of course they are. They found it's actually cheaper. They will say all the people who lost their jobs will return. Of course they will, most working from home. What they failed to say is the overnight support won't be returning and over time and through attrition they won't be expanding their staff so the hour long waits to speak to someone will get longer until we learn our place to get help online. Verizon's core values are we should pay them a premium price for a product and then be grateful they speak to us at all and sadly the American people are buying right into this role reversal.
