Horrible customer service i made an online order that i had to cancel becoz i forget to add all theitems i needed called in and the guy at the customer service told me its still in processing and can't be cancelled at this time called again in a few hrs and the next agent told me it can't be canceled becoz its already shipped went to the store to return and their the lady said i can only give u store credit becoz u paid through paypaL u can mail it back and only then u can get ur money back!!read more

3 weeks of silence, my order hasn't even SHIPPED yet. They marked it as shipped on the website but the carrier says that they only received the data or that the label was created only.They claim they shipped your order to receive your money: "we don't charge until your order ships". Do not buy from them. They are a scam.read more

I ordered a basic hoodie recently with a zip. It took ages to arrive and the quality of the item is so cheap in comparison to the price paid.It was literally Primark quality. So over priced for the quality of what you receive. It even looks so incredibly cheap. Don't shop here... their competitors have much better quality for equal price point.read more

I’m Art from Mexico City and my experience with AE has been always a nightmare, I’ve starting to thinkthat maybe they’re racists because everytime that I need to talk with the staff of customer service they´re very rude, not friendly and they always treat us as if they were doing us a favor or as if we were asking for free clothes and I think that is very wrong, they end the chat or the call even when you’re still talking/writing. Apparently they block any purchase from Mexico City because now no one can buy anything from here because they don’t let you add your mexican credit or debit card because “there was an unexpected error” and when you finally made it, they cancel it “due to an availability issue or your request.”, but when you look again for your product is still there, obviously available. And when you really made it, your package takes several weeks to arrive and when you try to contact them they say that is your fault or your responsability if the package doesn’t arrives and there will not be refund of your money if the package get lost in the process. But even with all this nightmare, I really love their clothes, so I’m hoping that maybe one day they change all the staff and the bad attitude against all the people that the only thing that they want is to buy their clothes.read more

I am very sad to be writing this horrible review since I have been an AE shopper for years and love the product.Literally almost all my clothes come from AE and Aerie. Unfortunately I have had a horrible experience with them when they refused to refund me on an item that I never received. I recently had issues with the last two orders I had with delivery which I called customer service about. The first issue was resolved quickly when I called the customer service line, but emailing them is a different story. It doesn't seem that they read very carefully or care about the issue. The first issue I had was that I only received 7 out of 8 items. On the order list, it said it was all delivered and the list showed one of the items twice (which I'm guessing is just a glitch on the app?) Someone responded to my email saying they refunded the item and to send the wrong item back (clearly did not read carefully). I really just wanted them to send the missing item so I called the customer service line where I explained in more detail and they were able to re order me the missing item. I also told them about the second order that was missing. I was told by a representative to give it a couple more days because sometimes carriers will mark it as delivered before even delivering it, which is unacceptable. She told me I could call to resolve this issue if I still didn't receive the item in a couple days which is exactly what I did. I emailed the customer service line letting them know this. I was responded with,
"Thank you for contacting American Eagle. I do apologize for any concerns with this shipment. We're always delighted to assist the best we can. Due to the order history at this address, we are not able to issue a refund for missing items or packages. For future orders, we recommend considering an alternate shipping address to ensure your package is successfully received. "
I wrote back asking what they meant by "due to the order history of this address" since I didn't have any issues with my orders before except for the last two orders. I have emailed them several times and each time I get the same answer and no explanation to what they meant. I called the customer service line and unfortunately they could not do anything about it since I got that email making it final. THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE and did not expect it at all from this company since I have never had issues before. I refuse to pay for an item that I never even received. I am extremely disappointed and sad to say goodbye to shopping here. My issue was finally resolved by calling the credit card company to let them know the issues I've been having with American Eagle Outfitters. Great merchandise, but very bad customer service.read more

My nephew wanted pants from AE for his birthday. I ordered online. The clothes are expensive and shipping prices are ridiculous.I was given the option for free delivery to the store with curbside pickup. I'm not afraid of Covid but I am physically disabled so I picked curbside. I was kept informed on the status of my order. Pickup date was accurate. Instructions for pickup were simple. I went to the mall, parked where I was instructed and called to say I was there. I was then informed that location didn't do curbside pickup. I had to find another parking spot, get my walker and go in the mall. It was a long and painful walk. There were 3 young, physically capable employees standing around doing nothing and no customer's. I should have been informed about no curbside pickup when I placed my order. Or sometime during the week it took for my order to get to the store. This is unacceptable.read more

Absolutely appalling service from start to finish.
Order took over a month to arrive.You have to pay for returns and can’t exchange items, even when the sizing is completely off.
Customer service were rude, argumentative and unprofessional. I was refunded the wrong amount and they refused to rectify the situation. Avoid at all costs.read more
