Horrible company with horrible customer service. Made a request for my washer to be repaired.Received a service date on May 25, 2021 with a Sears Technician. Time frame from 8:00 am - 12noon. The Sears technician never showed up and never called to reschedule the appointment. I called American Home Shield and asked if the technician was on his way and they told me that my appointment has been rescheduled from the time frame of 12 noon to 3 PM. I waited until 3:30 PM and the technician did not show up. I called American Home Shield again and was told that my appointment had been rescheduled for May 27. 2021. I called and spoke to a representative several times, gave them my phone number to give to the technician to text me and let me know when he’s on his way. I never received a call back although I called at left my phone number several times. On May 27, the same scenario took place. The Sears Technician never showed up at my house, never called to inform me of the delays. I spoke to American Home Shield on several occasions during the day, requesting information on the time frame and arrival of the Sears Technician to my home. I was put on hold for 1 hour waiting to speak to someone in their so-called escalation department. The representative I was talking to put me on hold and kept coming back to the phone every few minutes to tell me that the escalation department was busy and no one was answering the phone. This went on for over an hour. Finally I agreed to accept a callback telephone call from the representative/agent after he was in touch with the escalation department . That was on Thursday, May 27, 2021. I never received a phone call on Friday, May 28 from anyone from American Home Shield. I called American Home Shield for the seventh time, and told my story over again for the seventh time, and still did not get a resolve to my issue. I asked for another contractor to be sent to my home because I did not trust Sears. I was told that my appointment has been rescheduled on June 2, 2021 between the hours of 8:00 am and 12 noon. I requested another contractor as I had took off from work on May 25 and May 27 and sat in my home all day and never received a telephone call from Sears or the assigned technician regarding the delay with dispatching a technician to my home. I asked for another contractor and was told that I could not receive another contractor since they had rescheduled my appointment on June 2 and it within the guidelines of their policy. I asked that my $100.00 service fee be refunded and my contract with American Home Shield be terminated. The escalation department is nothing but another representative trying to get you to agree to accept awful customer service from Sears who American home shield must have an exclusive contact with. I am so over American Home Shield. Long story short , they assigned another contractor to service my washer after I refused to allow a Sears Technician come to my home and schedule a third no-show appointment. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life and I’m 65 years old!! What a horrible week it had been dealing with American Home Shield. And they charged me a $100.00 fee for the new contractor to be assigned and I was informed that the $100.00 fee I paid Sears would take 7-14 days to be credited to my account. Talk about a rip-off!!!! Don’t use this company, they are horrible in every way!

Horrible,,,stay away !!! I was charged $125 for the technician to fix the washer,the technician did not repair it and was not able to even understand the problem as he had to lookup the error code on Google and then determined he did not know what the problem was and then stormed off The technician asked if I read that information, which I indicated I had, resulting in me calling AHS and him being dispatched. He then asked whether I read the instruction book, to which I responded I had. At that point, he literally stormed off and did not complete the repair and then falsified his findings by indicating he saw no errors. All attempts at getting customer service to send out different repair company failed, email to assigned repair company went unanswered, AHS refused to assign different company, escalate call, or refund $. Horrible customer service!!! Canceled after three months. Jumping through hoops to get service.Tried to cancel with customer service and the first rep. I spoke with started arguing with me about why I shouldn't cancel and wouldn't transfer me to the cancellation department. Stay away from this company!!

I would give them a -10 if possible! I paid for this coverage for 16 months and never needed to use it.Then when I needed them for an emergency electrical issue they sent me to their contacted company who stated they couldn’t be here for a week! This was an emergency! American Home warranty would not help me. They refused to all me to pick a company who could be here right away. Then four days later agreed to and then denied the claim! I would not recommend them to your worst enemy!

Horrific. This was purchased from the seller’s real estate agent for us at closing. We did not choose them.Buyer beware and run. They are not from the USA, you are on hold for over 15 minutes for any call, they do not call back nor take care of their requests and you are still charged $75 per each service request. It is a nightmare sincerely.

just a reeking cesspool of inefficiency. what are we paying these people for? our dryer broke over a month ago and we immediately set out to have it repaired or replaced under warranty.a repairperson was sent twice to assess the situation, and they finally concluded that we need a replacement dryer. weeks go by, nothing. radio silence. ahs claims that they have no record of our attempts to get our dryer replaced. seriously? the home warranty company is claiming this? *EDIT--their claim is that they have no record of the repair company submitting an order to replace the dryer. I called the appliance company and they submitted the report. ahs is currently giving us the complete runaround, saying that they've scheduled repairpeople from Sears to come to our home again, to assess if our dryer can be fixed. this is the THIRD visit. we seem to be a long-term dryer-less family, all thanks to ahs. by the way, there was absolutely zero mention of this appointment to us. they schedule as they please, apparently. this company is like some sick joke.

It place a ticket with over a month ago and still no service. When I call the cust. serv. dept.they put you to some 3rd world country Do NOT UNDERSTAND ENG. I called them over 8 times in 30 day period and still no one know there Head from there ASS!! Do not use this company WASTE OF YOUR MONEY!!! OHH Here the topper if you cancel before your renewal time they charge you a FEE!! You are better off fixing the problem your self or call a REAL Co. to fix and just pay out of pocket.

I just canceled my AHS contract because they raised my subscription by 33% and never told me so.That was the last thing I was going to take from this company. I used them 3 times for repairs. They sent a third party technician on three occasions. One repair went pretty much smoothly. But the two others dragged-on for weeks. For a clothes washer, the technician could not diagnose the problem, tried several options for which I had to wait for the parts to be sent each time. When the dishwasher broke down, same thing, I had to wait for the parts. Then, once the parts arrived, no technicians were available and I had to wait more time. I ended-up finishing the repair myself. This is just not acceptable. When they jacked-up the price of my contract, I called them to cancel. After being put on hold for 20 minutes (standard with AHS), I finally talked to someone who tried real hard to stop me from canceling. During the process, I was put on hold several times before being transferred to another agent who again tried every trick in the book to prevent me from canceling. Then she told me I had a $46.99 cancelation fee to pay! Remember that free months you got at the beginning? Well, you'll pay it at the end! Keep away from this company, they are just not worth it.
