BestBuy has the worst price match policy

I purchased a Nespresso machine from BestBuy and found a better offer on another website. So,before completing my online order,I chatted with 2 agents for a price match. The first one didn’t accept the price I found due to different reasons. The second one immediately accepted the price and asked me to submit my order. She then confirmed the price match is fine and said I will receive the refund in 5 to 10 business days. When I called back after 10 days, another agent said she cannot find the chat with the second agent and she cannot confirm the price match too. Now, I left with 2 options: either to return it and buy somewhere else or keep it with this price. Returning is difficult and unfortunately, the other store’s offer is gone.

Dear Best Buy, FIRST OFF!! why don't you allow customers to make reviews on your website?you only post 4 stars and up!! "Let’s talk about what’s possible”. In March 2021 I purchased an Apple desk top through the Best Buy website, to my surprise I was actually purchasing from a market place seller called Pro Open Box. This item was purchased for my mother who needs a laptop at home due to the pandemic. --- To make a long story short Pro Open Box a best buy market place seller was not responding and not granting my refund until my return was escalated 3 times and they had only one contact email, nothing on google about them best buy is just hiding them essentially.. Hiding a SCAM company who profits off 10% restock fees when you return your item and they make it hard to return it!---- We received the item on April 16 2021 it was shipped by Canada Post and left in the original Apple box (like the packaging they give you at the apple store) with no extra protection or discrete packaging, which could possibly be the reason for the cracked screen we noticed once we opened the box. I contacted Best Buy right away a was told to contact the market place seller through my profile on Best Buy. After requesting a refund I heard nothing, I continuously called Best Buy and was told “3 more business days”, “the situation was escalated” , “we don’t have a supervisor for you to talk to”, “we can’t do anything for you because this is a marketplace item”. at one point i was even told that if pro open box doesnt answer then that would just suck for me and I would just have to keep my damaged computer. After so much tears and frustration I finally got a shipping label from Pro Open Box and received a call from a Best Buy supervisor to inform me that a 10% restock fee would be applied on my damaged item, NOW MY BLOOD STARTED TO BOIL. I then continued to ask Best Buy representatives who the best person to talk to was or how to get a hold of Pro open box, even though I already knew the answers “please wait another 3 business days and then call back if you don’t hear anything” I seriously felt trapped, where is the support? Why can’t I talk to anyone else? It seemed crazy that a multi million dollar company only had one phone number to talk to.. and the representative that answered was the only one that i could talk to because "we aren't able to transfer calls and supervisors DONT CARE about marketplace items" Finally on Tuesday May 18th I contacted Best Buy through the same way I have always been since there is “no one else you can talk to” and I reached the best representative Rami! Ext: 6841307 he listened to me and understood my frustration and anxiety. he was the only one to escalate the situation to head office (I thought this wasn't possible as i was told previously) anyways after weeks of waiting 3 more business days Rami helped me get the answers i needed and is continuously checking up on the progress of my refund its been a week since the item was returned and received and open box actually responded and said our full refund is being processed! all i want is for BEST BUY TO FIRE PRO OPEN BOX SCAM COMPANY!! and for everyone to buy all products from actual stores dont buy Apple or samsung or any name brands from best buy they are just re sellers with the same prices and no care or protection dont waste your time and money.

AVOID BUYSPRY ON BEST BUY MARKETPLACE!!!

THIS IS A 0 STAR REVIEW! Bought an iPhone through Best Buy Marketplace where this business,BUYSPRY is a third party seller. It was advertised as a recertified iPhone. This means the phone is "like-new" condition before the seller lists them. This also means replacing the battery and other parts such as the case if warped, etc. Then it's fully tested. Paid around $270 for an iPhone 8 64gb. Battery health was 87% and didn't even last 2 hours. Case was warped and the screen protector would not lay flat. Lastly, the home button was faulty and worked intermittent. We wrote the seller and there was NO response. Then reached out to Best Buy and they didn't want to help until I told them if they don't, our bank will simply do a credit card chargeback. They reluctantly reached out to the third party seller. They first told us to take to a repair shop and get an estimate. Who does this!?! Or it can be returned. They stopped replying. Bank filed the chargeback. Horrible business. AVOID BUYSPRY!!!!!! (follow up by BuySpry); "Hello I am very sorry about your experience. A recondition phone is described on Best Buy to have at least 85% of battery health which was correct in your case with 87%. (WRONG - WE PURCHASED A RECERTIFIED PHONE). Please understand that an iPhone 8 is a 5 years old device with older technology, hence, it will consume more battery power to run current applications. The device have an health application which can indicate if there is an issue with the battery. In your case, the device have passed all tests before it was shipped (WRONG - BATTERY NOT REPLACED; CASE WARPED, HOME BUTTON FAULTY). In addition, I see we have provided you with a return instructions for a FULL REFUND on May 7th 5:04PM EST. Unfortunately I cannot find any unanswered messages (WRONG - WROTE 6 MESSAGES TO THEM WITH ONLY ONE ANSWERED). The order was placed on April 27th, delivered on May 3rd, and we have communicated to all your messages in the 4 days between the delivery and the time we have provided the return instructions. I hope we can receive the return as soon as possible so we can provide you with a refund. Thank you David P. " (My follow up); "First off, we purchased a RECERTIFIED PHONE NOT A RECONDITIONED PHONE!!!! So your response is false and inaccurate. Feel free to look up the difference since you seem like you don't know. Secondly, the case was warped. Once again, you failed to mention this on your reply. Lastly, the home button was faulty. Again.......you missed this as well. Your response time was poor in getting our return and we contacted our bank and had them file a chargeback on purchase amount on our credit card. You can make all the false comments you wish. Your BBB score shows the type of business you run. (1.6 stars out of 5) Not to mention every other review site on the web has you as one of the worst online companies. We look forward to our FULL REFUND and you will be happy to know we will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH YOU AGAIN." As of today, we still have not received our full refund. They are terrible at answering any question and they should make people aware of their return policyof not being able to return anything until stores open again before they even let you buy the product! when a product is defective you should be able to return it, now i wont have a laptop until the lockdown is done and im in school! The local store wont even answer the phone, have to talk to the branch customer service and they are not helpful at all. I do not recommend.

Best Buy Canada lg 49wl95c-w sent missing parts.

Purchased a lg 49wl95c-w from Best Buy Canada on May 14, 2021. It was marked as certified open box from geek squad but the ad said everything was included as with new.1576.99 + tax later... it arrived today. Upon opening it, there was no manuals, the most expensive part of this purchase is the 49" wide screen. Normally it would come in a padded soft bag of sorts to keep the screen protected. With mine, there was no such bad but there was a usb dongle squished between the styrofoam box and the lcd panel. Awesome. I grabbed the two piece stand and went to assemble it only to find the three screws M5 x L12 (3) according to the online manual at LG's website were not in the box. So now I have no way to assemble the stand to check if the screen works or what is wrong with it - ie dongle against it during shipping. I contacted best buy support. i get Anish G. This person refused to help me until I told them my address, name, email address etc. I explained I'd rather not give my home address, but here is the order number, my name and email address as registered with best buy canada. They refused to help. So in short, Best Buy isn't really the BEST buy. They have lost a customer and I plan to review them every single place I can. Try and help others not get screwed. Pun wasn't intended because they don't send screws. Edit: returned my screen today to bestbuy for a full refund. I powered it on this morning with plans of a monitor arm. The panel was dead. Half of the screen was smashed, light leaks everywhere, dead panel. I spoke to LG's tech side and they told me return it right away. The screen was cracked inside (their guess) and LG would deny warranty if submitted. Yay I got my money back. Lol

Do not use bestbuy’s online shopping. Their shipping service is well below average.I placed an order at a bestbuy location because that location didnt have what i was looking for so they ordered the product from another store shipped to my address. The item was marked delivered a couple of days later but the item is nowhere insight and nobody even tried to deliver it. Their processing time for refunds also takes alot longer than average.

I ordered a phone battery from the Best Buy website May 1st. Now May 14th. I checked the tracking number and it is JUST BEING SHIPPED OUT NOW.13 days it takes to just put it in a box and send to the mail. Pathetic. It is supposed to arrive May 24th, and get this, it is being shipped from Ontario. I live in Ontario. I also have an e-commerce and ship all over the world, so I know first hand how long it takes for parcels to arrive anywhere. If I don't have my customers order in the mail within 48 hours I will lose customers and suffer reduced ratings. Anywhere in Ontario should take at very maximum 2-3 business days to arrive. I guess I should have just ordered this from Amazon, Ebay, or any other company that values their customers.
