Bought brand new MINI Cooper Countryman from authorised dealer two years ago. The car comes with service and warranty inclusive for five years.Car battery went flat 2 weeks ago, the car was jump started and driven to the dealer. The dealer claimed that it’s not time for battery replacement and simply charged the battery.
2 weeks later, the car battery went flat again. This time, it cannot be even jump started and had to be towed. Now, the dealer claimed that BMW has voided the warranty because the side lights were left on without the engine running. Firstly, who in the right mind will want to drain/spoil the battery by leaving the lights on (this car does not even have a function to off the lights once ignition is on!). Secondly, BMW is saying not to use its side lights, then why in the first place the manufacturer puts in this function?!
This is downright despicable! This company does not have the intention to honour the warranty of products sold!! A new battery easily cost over US$500 and with so many other electronics in the car, I dread to think the repair cost in time to come. May everyone out there please dump your BMW cars at the first sign of trouble. You will not want to be suckled into an endless money pit. The drive is not worth it!!read more
Typically poor BMW Customer Service

For quite a few years now I have been paying BMW a lot of money in annual subscriptions for their Connected Drive service.A couple of days ago I tried to send a destination from my desktop to my car in advance of a planned journey.
I was greeted with the error message "We were unable to send this destination." The same happened the next day. And again today.
It's not the first time this has happened, so I phoned BMW to find out what was wrong. I was told it was a "known problem". The call centre did not know when the fault would be repaired; they did not offer to notify me when the system was working again. They did not apologise. They did not offer a refund for their failure to perform.
I do not report this because it is unusual for BMW to perform in this way. Sadly, it reflects a pattern of customer service that, in my experience is increasingly typical of this company. I do not expect to buy from them again.read more

I bought a bmw 320 gt in May and I have not received yet my new car. BMW only told me that they do not have available some pieces in order to manufacture the car.I am very annoyed with this situation because I had confidence in this brand. However, I have realized that
BMW does not work good. I am very dissatisfied.read more
