Today, I waited expecting a very important equipment. This morning it showed as our for delivery,then I got “item redirected to recipients new address”, (I haven’t moved), I was sitting outside having coffee. I received a notification on my phone “failed delivery attempt, notice card left”.
There was no card and no delivery attempt, I contacted Canada Post via the chat app and had my husband call them.
I asked how I could receive a failed delivery attempt notice when delivery was not attempted?
I was told “delivery hadn’t been attempted as a signature is required”, I stated again “I was here” and that none of my other “signature required” parcels actually required signatures.
i am amazed this is happening on a first world country.

Hardly do they update tracking. They will “pretend” to help you with customer service when in reality it’s just a bunch of “loop-around” that get nothing.Often times you will be forced to pay for tracking even though many times it will not even be updated until after the package has been delivered. Has happened to myself and family members multiple times.
Since Canada Post is a crown corporation they can essentially never go bankrupt which is how they get away with horrendous service. And they treat their employees terribly — instead of hiring more employees they opt to overwork the few they have even during COVID.

Canada Post is unorganized there customer service department iuno why they eaven have one becauseeveryone that answer the phone just tells you the same.old thing and they don't eaven try and help your issue your haveing they just tell you keep waiting for your item because are customer service teams has.no.common sence or to lazy to resolve any issues or just don't know how. I talk to someone 10 days ago they sad ya your problem be resolved you well get your package I wascth my.oackage go through a loop for the last ten days I called back just to here some other answers and I was told that my package is still on the way and I was told.to.realx.its on the way after someone told me.that 10 days ago say we need a few days and still no package I watch it go from my area right back to its main building then back to my area then back tothe main building like 100 times don't waste your time.with Canada Post WORST POSTIL SERVICE all over Canada

Ordered a package two months ago and have had to change the address since it has taken so much longer than the expected delivery date.And now it’s just stuck in storage and they can’t explain why it hasn’t moved in 3 weeks now. Beyond brutal experience.

I frequently order packages and have never had any unreasonable delays or issues with any postal services OTHER THAN Canada Post.EACH and EVERY time that I had a parcel delivering with Canada Post it has been significantly delayed (at least 5-6x later than the initial expected delivery date). For recent online purchases I have made, once I realized it is shipping with Canada Post I have immediately cancelled the order.
Unless you are looking for a postal service that is exceptional at delivery packages well beyond the initial expected date with an incompetent tracking system than by all means go with Canada Post.
