Appallingly poor customer service

Reviewed on 2021-05-20T12:24:54

I was an occasional customer at Canadian Tire in Peace River, AB, and it was fine for years.I bought a blender and a hydroponic grower. I bought some rechargeable batteries that didn't work in my electric fly swatter and Canadian Tire took them back no problem. Sometimes I had to wait too long for customer service. However, early this year, I went to check for a few things. I always wear protest signs. The high quality scientific research says that masks are useless and dangerous (see Swiss Policy Research and "The Miserable Pseudo-Science Behind Face Masks..." by Technocracy for example). The poor quality research says the opposite, and the "fact checkers" that debunk the high quality science - those fall apart on close scrutiny. I don't want to patronize a store that doesn't allow a protest. When I went to Canadian Tire, they questioned my mask and kicked me out. It stressed me out for the rest of the evening, and gave me a headache and almost made me sick. Other stores haven't treated me that badly. I will never, ever, set foot in Peace River Canadian Tire again and try not to go into any other Canadian Tire either. I find myself hoping that the people who kicked me out will make themselves sick from their masks, but it will not be enough. It won't make up for how they treated me. They deserve to go under for this bad behaviour. Please go anywhere - absolutely any store except for this one.

Lindsay Ontario Canadian Tire gone down…

Reviewed on 2021-05-19T18:30:34

Lindsay Ontario Canadian Tire gone down hill this last year its almost as bad as the TSC store (almost)you look online see items are in stock get there and Nada, plus curbside pick up is a joke unless you like waiting 1 to 2 days. I know its a bigger store but wouldn't that also mean more staff?? to pick items??, gave them one star because of how it used to be.

Complaint on a Manager and staff

Reviewed on 2021-05-19T05:29:37

Not even 1 Star suppose to be zero. I was on a drive pick up today for my on line order. Then I asked a question to one of the staff who scans the pick up orders on their phones. In the flyer there's a sale tower fan for $79.99. I ask them to check because it was $99. 99 when I was trying to order on line. It scanned $99, but I said it is in the flyer. But she insisted that they stores have different prices or not their flyer as I was only showing a cut out of the fan. So I ask for a manager. Very unapproachable manager, and said if that's the price, that's it and he can't override it. Then I ask for flyer., he said no flyer as the store is closed. Meanwhile a young guy, one of their staff said that " it's very simple Math." I was offended I feel like dummy can't do my Math. So I drove off parked, and checked the flyer on my phone, there it is. I went back, and showed the flyer to the "supposed" manager and he said can't do anything and when I saw the kid who told me about that simple Math, I showed him my phone on his face and the manager asked me to leave, very disrespectful. There were exchanged of words, and he insisted me to leave because of what I did to his staff instead of settling the issue. And I said I'm going to call Customer Service and he said I can go ahead. So I parked shaking and called CS. I told them to call me back. I'm just waiting for the result of my complaint if something has been done. I will never shop in that store again at Heartland, Mississauga. Staff there has no respect to customers.

Horrible. If you could rate a ZERO. Owen Sound would get a zero. Called to placr a curbside order, the staff informed me that I DID NOT have to "CALL IT IN" Weird but ok. Just let the staff know and they will get it for you! Well, I waited in line and was then told oh you have to place that on phone order.....totally unprofessional or very lazy staff... will take my business elsewhere. Customer service sucks.!

This could be called: "HIGHWAY ROBBERY" In 2019 My daughter borrowed my 2004 Mazda Tribute to travel from Toronto to Brockville. Not wanting to use my vehicle, she used her own. Three months elapsed without the Mazda being used. On my request she went to start the car without success. She boosted the car, it started and went around for few Km. Parked the car. Next day the car would not start again. On March 7,2019 I went to pick up the car. No start. Boosted it went to Canadian tire Brockville, after making appointment, the car arrived on their parking lot. Due to some delay that the store encountered, I had to turn off the car and leave it there. To make it short, the following were the charges according to their invoice: To Boost car in their parking lot $ 49.63 Remove & Replace Alternator 277.90 Alternator 234.99 Core Charge 10.00 Remove, Replace alternator' drive belt 46.99 Service battery terminals 21.95 Remove & Replace battery 35.00 New Motomaster battery 136.99 Battery core charge 20.00 Complained to service manager to no vail. I drove the boosted car to their parking lot without any problem. I was charged all of the above when the only thing that needed to be changed was the battery. This is a robbery. I had to return to Toronto and paid my bill and left.

Needed a new set of tires

Reviewed on 2021-05-17T21:43:27

Needed a new set of tires, so I went to get an estimate on the tires I wanted at Canadian Tire in Chilliwack,BC.. Stood for 15 minutes waiting to get someone's attention to serve me. No other customers in the tire department at the time. The guy in the tire department was sitting at a desk in an adjoining office looking at a computer and showed no inclination to move, so I went over to another guy in the parts area and asked him if he could help me. He said no, and directed me back to the guy at the computer. Waited another 10 minutes until he finally looked up and noticed me. He printed out an estimate for the tires I wanted and told me it would be at least a month before I could get them. He was a grumpy, curt, disinterested old guy who obviously has been there much too long and has lost the joy of serving people, or even pretending to be interested. I wanted my new tires installed within a day or two, not a month, so with this in mind and the bad attitude of staff in that department, I drove immediately to another tire dealer and purchased a full set of new tires installed the next day, and at a much better price than Canadian Tire.

I ordered a bicycle and was assembled…

Reviewed on 2021-05-17T15:11:15

I ordered a bicycle and was assembled the next day and ready for pick up. As soon as I got home,I tried it out and noticed that the chain was loose. I called the store and couldn't get thru and was even hung up on several times. I had emailed then as well and still waiting a response. Finally got the days later for the to tell me that they couldn't do anything about it since there are no bike repair workers present until June 2. So here I am stuck with a bike that's clearly unsafe and unrideable. Thanks for nothing CT. I will most likely end up fixing it myself since I don't trust the way they assembled it. Smh...
