ClassPass Only Wants Your Money. Look elsewhere.

Reviewed on 2021-05-18T20:20:03

ClassPass refused to keep my account paused during pandemic (Oct 2020 they auto unpaused it)- even though there were no available gyms open in my area. Not one single class I could even take aside from virtual. Which is BS to force me to do virtual when I don’t even have proper space to workout. After asking ClassPass THREE times to keep my account paused (oh yeah, I was laid-off too so I didn’t even have money to give them), I was still charged $139. A ClassPass customer representative told me that basically the ONLY way they could refund me my $139 was to flat out cancel my membership. And that it would be an “exception” I’d like to preface that I still had a full package of credit because the pandemic hit the first week of March. I still lost $139 - but in credit. Because ClassPass has a greedy rule of whatever paid credit you have left, it is theirs to keep should you leave. (And in this case, I was actually forced to cancel by suggestion of a ClassPass customer support agent). I never intended to cancel my ClassPass. I WANTED to keep my ClassPass. And I flat out said that. But nope. The only exception of a refund is to cancel. Even though I’m pretty sure ClassPass can afford to issue me a $139 refund, especially considering I was a long time customer. ClassPass is clearly a greedy company. They only care about money. They’re not understanding of others and how life can throw unexpected wrenches. I hope others decide to leave the app as well. Horrible company with no morals and empathy for others.

Terrible for my business

Reviewed on 2021-05-18T20:00:27

As a business owner I found my short trial with ClassPass to be abysmal and impossible to escape from. They provided only the most minimum and frustrating support for my business. No phone number to call when important. They will not provide the client phone number even when there is a booking mistake on their end. So the customer shows up and is usually upset with my staff. Etc. Etc. Etc. They also used the access they were granted to my booker software to delete over 15 bookings that they had no relationship with and were not able to provide any help in fixing the problem. I have officially closed my account several times and this morning; even 7 months after the last time I begged them to cancel, close, delist my company's information they have booked an appointment for their client and said it is prepaid and there is no phone number to contact the client and.... ...well, pretty much abysmal!

TERRIBLE Customer Service

Reviewed on 2021-05-18T16:39:34

Classpass has the worst Customer Service I have ever experienced within app services. The membership is not worth it.You would hope to get good customer service when you sign up for an app, but not with them. They are so rigid and by the books; they don't work with you or help you out in any way. I booked a class during a certain time and messaged them a minute later to help adjust to another time. They said I'd incur a $15 charge for cancelling a class because I would be taking away spots from other people. The class still had open spots for both times. I can't see how I'm taking spots away from other people when I asked to switch within a minute. I've been trying to cancel my membership but they've been giving me an error message. It's so difficult to cancel. Do NOT sign up for ClassPass. Trust the rest of the reviews on here.

Beware of classpass before becoming a…

Reviewed on 2021-05-09T01:14:28

Beware of classpass before becoming a member! I've used classpass for years prior to the pandemic despite some issues. However, they recently sent a last min notice saying they will start charging you may 10th in order to keep your credits and not lose them. Or they will charge you the full price of your plan and you would get new credits on top of your remaining credits. I scrambled to make 2 mani pedi appt at a nail salon that was advertised on classpass since I'm still uncomfortable with in person studios. I called the nail salon to confirm after and they've never even heard of classpass!!! My 2 appt ended up getting cancelled and I contacted customer service and they were completely useless. I've said so many times they have now misled customers by having companies on there that dont even use or honor classpass credits and that I just want my monetary value of the 19 credits back or be able to use it for the new month without being charged for the new month. They have now messaged me like 4 diff times with the same roundabout answer and have provided zero clarity. I'm prob going to have to dispute it with my bank now once I'm charged on Monday. So frustrating!!!! Edit: they tell me to contact customer service as per below and I did. Yet they are completely useless and basically still refuse to do anything except telling me that I'll still be charged for the next month (even though they're falsely advertising businesses to make appt with my credits and another customer service person had told me I would be getting a refund). It's so sad but these people are crooks and liars

Great in concept. Terrible execution.

Reviewed on 2021-05-06T19:24:54

Great in concept. Terrible execution. I showed up to a class I booked to find the studio not open and studio saying they do not have class that day.Showed up to Another session I booked to find that studio closed over a year ago. Two more studios are showing as participating but they have no classes (not really participating). Customer service quick to respond with generic answers but doesn’t actually research anything or find real solutions.
