I was robbed. I opened a student account and they changed it to a paid account and did not inform me.I brought them my student status documents and they did not register them and deny that I ever did.

This bank is a bad joke, but really bad one.
I naively opened an account in one of the national banks when I moved to Germany which was a horrible mistake.Deutsche Bank is a huge corporate monster which is living in different century.
Let's start: I repeatedly and personally insisted that I do not want to receive any printed post because any bank statement should be accessible in internet banking with no waste and effort. Not with DB, after numerous attempts and assurances that they won't send me printed statements I still received them, and of course, paid for them. I was also charged 20 EURs for "search of my address" without even being contacted.
But the real fiasco started when I was in overseas and got locked there due to pandemic. Because I haven't been receiving the printed post and it kept returning to them they literally blocked my account against all transactions.
After contacting them via phone I was informed that I have to visit one of the Deutsche Bank in Germany to change to my current address.
Well, Deutsche Bank literally blocked access to my money and without having access to a bank in a different country I would get stuck there with no chance to access my money.
After my arrival, the first thing I wanted to make is to close my account and that's a moment when they require extra documents and IDs despite never insisted on them.

The worst ever bank I have experience with!!!
I have been a customer with Deutsche Bank for last 10 years.I applied for the Credit Card with €40/year charges, but my application was rejected.
Now I have decided to close my account with them since I pay €4.99 per month. There are other banks which provide account and credit cards with €0/month charges.
too much bad experience and really disappointed!

These people are not worth One star.
Poor customer service, poor experiences with them.Receipts from clients get rejected and we do not get informed. These rejections are often done, when there are minor issues with the data sent - rather than DB making a minor change to the data. DB hold onto receipts for many days before allocating them to our account.
When you phone them to discuss issues with your account, they ask you to email them. Then they do not respond to emails in a timely manner, comensurate with the urgency of the issue.
Once we sent a payment to india, DB rejected it three times, because we had not filled the form in correctly - but each time we incurred charges, and they wouldn;t help us to fill out the form properly.
Sadly we don't have any choice aout using DB, because we are small subsidiary of a large corporation, but if i were my choice, we would not use them
