I am a recently retired optometrist who has been following; your website, and the work and writing ofDr Fung and Ivor Cummins and have recommended the above to hundreds of my patients friends and colleagues and have sold over 190 of Ivor’s books at cost. One of my favourite examples is a lovely aboriginal patient of mine who following the advice in The Complete Guide To Fasting went from 40 units of Insulin to none, 4 Metformin to none and lost 140 lbs. in two years.
The work you have done and the advice you give at dietdoctor is invaluable. A thought I had that might help spread the wisdom you share is to get as much continuing education material as you can accredited by as many health care colleges as possible globally, not only medical but also nursing, optometric, dental, chiropractic etc., and provide it free of charge through the professional colleges and associations.
At he best of times it can be hard to find good world class reasonably priced CE and in these times of COVID even more so. There are probably many health care providers (some fat and out of shape from following their own advice) who would jump (if they could) At the opportunity of getting some free continuing education. You would just have to be sure that they had to pass a reasonably difficult test in order to get the credit.
My wife and I have also tried many of the recipes on your website and the only constructive criticism I might have is that some of the recipes are perhaps not as flavourful as they could be and you might be able to show the recipes with an indication for spicing for the delicate palate and also spicing for those who like it hot and spicy.

I’m a bit disappointed and frustrated because there isn’t much information about a safe way to do I.F for women.I was following your advice for about 4 months now and although I lost weight I was so thrilled but now that weight seems to be coming or creeping back slowly. I feel soooo cold all the time( all of a sudden), and I’m not normally a person to feel cold so easily. I too seemed to crave food sooo much all of a sudden and even though I tried to eat a bit to what my body is craving( nuts), I try so much to control myself not to give in but if I don’t then I end up feeling soo hungry until the next meal and so of course I end up snacking too! What’s worse is that my sugar has come back too!!!! I wanted to know why. Now, I’m having to look more informations from many different sources to look for reasons why and learning that women should fast differently than men, and you should not fast for longer periods that 3/4 months. Why aren’t you telling us this? These are all very important informations in order for us to be successful and do it in a safe way.read more

I've been a paying member of diet doctor for a little more than a year and a half.It is extremely rare that I'm willing to pay to be a member of a site, let alone renew my membership. There is also plenty of free content available, and I just wanted to have access to everything they had available. For my goals, this is more than worth it. If you are interested in learning about the how and why of low carb or keto eating, this is the one stop place to get scientifically backed, up-to-date, reliable information. There is so much out there on various other platforms that is just plain wrong. Here I feel like I have my own team of doctors and nutritionists and chefs to help me in my keto lifestyle.
I can also say that over the year and a half I've been a member, the navigation and ease of finding what I was looking for on the site has improved. One of my personal favorite features are the weekly menu plans. I'm the kind of person that just wants someone to tell me what to eat, but I also love to cook. Each meal plan has three daily meals, with consideration of a busy lifestyle: quick and easy breakfasts, usually having the previous night's dinner as leftovers for lunch, and a variety of delicious dinners. The site will automatically adjust the recipes and a shopping list for the number of servings you are making. A specific improvement that I have noticed: since this is a European site, metric measurements are available. American units are also available, but at first, the conversions were very strange, like calling for 7/13 of a teaspoon! But they have adjusted their conversions to round to more realistic American measuring tools.
One improvement that I'd like to see is for the ability of members to leave their own comments or tips on the recipes. Currently you can only rate the recipes with a five-star method. I have found a couple typos in recipes, or just find I want to leave my own cooking tip.
Another great feature available with a paid membership is the ability to create your own personalized weekly plans. You can shuffle your favorite recipes around, choose to skip meals if you are doing intermittent fasting, etc.
Overall, I I'm highly satisfied with this site. As I mentioned in the introduction it's especially important to me that the information I am finding is scientifically accurate and up to date. There is still much on the site that I have yet to delve deeper into. I highly recommend Diet Doctor.read more
