DSW has crashed and burned. It used to be great but I think the pandemic has tanked them.They can't handle simple exchanges, they use the cheapest version of FedEx to ship so you never know when or if you will get your order, and their user inferface is lousy. I'm done trying. I ordered shoes that were too big so I returned and ordered an exchange for a size 9. They sent me a size 5.5 and then I couldn't even print a return label because the exchange wasn't in their system. What a mess of incompetence.

I have bought 2 pairs of shoes from this company. The first were New Balances which ended up not coming until after Christmas due to a shipment problem.Fast forward to late April I buy Mens high top Vans. The next week it comes and I'm left puzzled by the package being so small. I open it up to find these tie dye women's sneakers. I call them and they ship out the right ones which arrive in a box sans lids and torn up. The costumer service has always been kind and helpful with these problems and same for the in person store. My main complaints are with the shipping department and the lack of variety on the website.

Never ever buy online with this company!!! The most horrible customer service ever.I ordered a pair of shoes for my daughter and contacted the shoe warehouse to get sizing accuracy as they only have a sizing chart on line that you have to print out. Anyway, customer service had no clue what the sizing was in cms or inches so I printed off the sizing chart to measure her foot. It measured a size 4. So I order a size 5 for her and they are huge!! Their size 5 goes way beyond their sizing chart as well. I put the shoe on to the sizing when I got them and the shoe goes up to size 8 on the sizing chart???
She loves the shoe and was soooooooo disappointed when it was way too big, so I ordered another pair after calling a shoe warehouse near me to find out the proper sizing. The girl at the store was perplexed on why the sizing chart is like that online.
Now I am trying to return the huge shoes I got and I want them to pay for the shipping. Reasonable enough right? As they completely screwed up on their end and have a completely off sizing chart and they don’t even know what their sizing is in inches or cms. I did my due diligence of trying to get all this info before ordering and went with the trust of the sizing chart and now I have to pay $20.00 to send these back to Ontario when the shoes were $36.00?? It’s not about the money but it’s the principle of this all and I don’t feel that I should buck up the money to ship these back. I have emailed, I have called and they keep telling me I have to pay for the shipping back. Absolutely horrible customer service!! DO NOT BUY ONLINE WITH THESE GUYS!!!! Save yourself the hassle. I unfortunately have no other choice as I am in a small area in BC and we have no shops here.

DSW is absolute TRASH. I have lived in CA for FOUR YEARS, during checkout I entered my address and selected "billing address same as shipping address" when I entered my card information.I live in California, my card billing address is IN California, THEY SHIPPED MY SHOES TO MASSACHUSETTS.
WHY would the payment go through if my card billing address, registered in CALIFORNIA, did not match the shipping address they magically decided to use INSTEAD of the one I manually entered? I still do not know how they got that old ass address, that Massachusetts address is a DORM I lived in in college! I'm over DSW, I would leave 0 stars if I could.

I'll never buy from them again!!!I ordered a pair of dress shoes for a wedding over 2weeks away.The site said they'd be here Monday. Monday I get an email saying they would be here Wednesday. The wedding was that coming Saturday so I was panicked when I didn't get the shoes. Thursday I called. The CSR said he called the shipping company and they were guaranteed to be here Friday. I requested to cancel the order. He said he is not able to cancel the service but if I didn't receive them all back and they would overnight them in time for the wedding free of charge. Friday I did not receive the shoes so called back and requested a replacement pair be overnighted. The CSR said they would be delivered Saturday. I explained I need them 1st thing Saturday morning. She said I would have to pay for the shipment and couldn't guarantee they would be here 1st thing in the morning. The shoes came after I had left for the wedding so I took them to a DSW location and returned them. They said it will take 7 to 10 business day for my refund. I'm not at all confident I'll get the refund.

If I could give them zero stars. I would. I placed an order for two pairs of shoes in mid-April.One black slip on, and one gold sandal.They shipped separately, which is the first thing that bothered me. When I received the first pair of black slip-one they clearly had been worn and returned to a store, then shipped to me. I called them immediately and asked them to ship me “new” replacement pair. I returned the used shoes same day. There were some shipping issues between their choice of shipper and the replacement pair of shoes, plus the other shoes I ordered that said they were delivered but in fact we’re not, or if they had been, were left in an unsecured location and were stolen. They sent me a third replacement shoe for the original pair of black slip-ons I received, and a replacement pair for the gold sandal I did not receive. They apologized and gave me $10.00 as an apology for the trouble. Due to the shipper, I ended up receiving 3 of the black slip ones (all had been worn and returned), and two pairs of the gold sandals. I was so fed up, I returned them all. I waited for a refund that didn’t come so when I called today, I received an apology for not getting my refund out. When I went to verify that my refund would be $87.05, which was my original purchase price, I was told it would only be $77.05 because of the $10.00 they had given me when 1) they sent me worn and dirty shoes; and 2) when their shipper messed up! To me the $10.00 should not have come out of the refund, since none of this was my fault, and I was entitled to my full refund of $87.05. Beside that insult, they send out shoes to unsuspecting online customers that have been worn and returned, which was the case with the black slip ons. The gold sandals were new, but at that point I was so frustrated I did not want to do business with DSW any longer.

I like DSW shoes. Their selection and prices are good. I encourage you to go to their store, not online,to purchase shoes. I continue to have trouble with DSW with online purchases, I WILL NOT be purchasing online from them ever again. Twice ina row now, a 10 minute transaction takes an hour and you have to chat and keep supplying the same info to them. They keep sending me E-mails & inform me that i have rewards to use to save money. HOWEVER, no success trying to apply these so called rewards. The person chatting agrees that i ahve them but labors to help them get applied. NO MORE! Too much time waste and aggravation. I do like their stores and their shoes. I will go to their store or not at all.
