If I could give zero stars, I would. I had placed an order on Tuesday for a Saturday delivery at 6pm.At around 6:30 the food still had not arrived so I called the support number. I was told that there had been a “glitch in the system” but my current driver was at the store and would be to me in 20 minutes. I then received three calls from the company at 6:42, 7:03, and 7:21 telling me the same exact story but continuously pushing back the ETA and saying “just 20 more minutes” every single time. After the last “20 minutes” when the food still hadn’t arrived, I called back again. I was yet again told the same exact story but offered free delivery. At this point the food was already nearly two hours late. I then received a call at 7:58 from a woman who didn’t introduce herself but told me that if I wanted a refund I would have to contact the store. I asked her why I should have to ask the store for a refund if they had done nothing wrong, the food had been ready on time and just sitting on the counter, EZ cater was the problem with getting my order to me. Instead of answering my question, she hung up on me. Finally at 8:15 my order showed up, the delivery driver told me that he hadn’t received the order until past 7pm (over an hour after it was meant to be delivered) and he had been on another delivery at the time. He said he had also called on my behalf to say that I should receive my order for free after it was so insanely late. He was very apologetic even though it clearly was not his fault. He said to stay by my phone as he would be making sure that you called me to give me a full refund for my order. The food was completely cold since it had been sitting out at the restaurant for about two hours. I never received a call about a refund for my order and then yesterday I got an email confirming that my credit card had been charged and that I would be getting a $200 credit towards a future order. I will absolutely never be using this service again after this experience and frankly, the credit instead of a refund is a slap in the face. This order was for my husbands birthday party and instead of enjoying the night and spending time with friends I haven’t seen in well over a year, due to covid, I was on the phone with you all night and the food I had to serve them was cold and over two hours late. This is completely unacceptable, do better.read more
