Why I ❤️ Full Sail University

My personal experience and mindset before attending Full Sail was to graduate with a bachelors degree and become successful.I was enrolled in the graphic design online program. After some prior college credits, I was able to finish a little over two years. Early in my first semester, my advisor reminded me that classes moved at an accelerated pace. One class consisted of four weeks. If you were to fall behind any given week, you had to work double time to get back on track. I will never forget how much time was consumed by projects alone. You are supposed to have 20-30 hours a week dedicated to these projects. What students fail to realize before attending this school is the fact that you have to be able to manage your time wisely. Next, in order to even work on these projects, students must know how to use the software like Adobe Creative Suite. If you do not have any experience with this, you will find that you are spending more time trying to learn the program before even tackling such projects. Does Full Sail place you into the entertainment industry after graduation? Honestly, speaking from experience, I would have to say "No." What I do know is that you have to take your newly acquired skills and network. Networking is the key in this type of field or industry. Many of the successful Full Sail alumni are working in the industry because of who they know and the hard work and dedication to work their way up into the current position that they are in. I personally will not trade my experience or time at Full Sail. The period of my life not only taught me the required skills to become a graphic designer but also it gave me life lessons and skills that I was able to transfer over into my job in the healthcare industry.
