I should have read these reviews before I did business with Gazelle. Today I received the "refurbished" iPad Mini 5 that I ordered from Gazelle.It was loaded with Veterans Administration software that makes it impossible to unlock or factory reset, so it is unusable. According to the VA Office of Connected Care Help Desk, the device was almost certainly stolen from the Veterans Administration. So much for Gazelle's "rigorous 30-point quality inspection". Clearly, no one even looked at this tablet. It also had a variety of stickers and sticker fragments and smudges on the surface, so not only didn't Gazelle inspect the device, they didn't even clean the exterior. Customer service emailed me a return shipping label and promised a full refund, but now, having lost all confidence in Gazelle, I have to worry whether they follow through with the promised refund.read more

Gazelle sold me someone's company phone that still had their companies mandatory IT administration apps on it.I couldn't use the phone without getting "permission" from the company, making it worthless. Gazelle sold me a phone and hadn't even checked it to make sure it would work.
Customer support offered a refund (which they offer anyway) and refused to cover activation costs from my carrier. They did offer free expedited shipping on another phone but I won't buy from them again.
Update 2 weeks later: I had to call to remind them to give me a full refund. They did not do it automatically upon receiving the returned phone. Pay attention with this company or they won't do their job.read more

Phone broke after only a couple months

The iPhone I bought worked well for a couple months. Then it completely stopped working.I took it to the Apple store and they said it was unfixable and needed to be replaced. It was past Gazelle's 30 day return window, so I can't return it.read more
