I reserved a car for same day travel by accident, then canceled. Lost 100% of my money,even though the car was only reserved for a few minutes. Getaround could really update their cancellation policy for same day rentals to be fair to both renters and owners.read more

Finding and booking a car went great. The car owner was also very nice. Unfortunately during driving I made a small scratch into the car.Now the case is for more than 6 months with Getaround. First they wrote that they will inform me of any progress.
However they don't answer my emails and just don't reply. Its really pity. Great concept, but very unfair and unkindly way of treating your clients.
I recommend not using the services!read more

I been using them for a bit but never again! They charged me twice for the same parking penalty without providing evidence.There is no option to call them and ask for explanation. On top of parking penalty they are charging 35£ processing fee.. AVOID!!read more

This is actually ZERO stars.
Unfortunately, I made the mistake of using this service again. So, my bad.Long story short:
I rented a Prius for about 4 hours.
I think that was around $36 or something around there. I needed to extend it another 5 hours. Which was another $60 something. And then some fees and fees for...whatever their "fees" are for. TAF??!!
So for 9 hours (not 24) I paid over 100 DOLLARS FOR A PRIUS.
AND NOT A NEW PRIUS!!!
Not a baby Tesla.
Not a Zipcar.
Not a rental car which would have been maybe $65 for a similar size car (Enterprise) Or maybe $75 for one delivered to my doorstep (Kyte), both with 24-hour rental times - neither of which, by the way, are paying me to promote them (which is for comparison purposes only).
But A FRICKIN PRIUS FOR 9 hours @ $100+ (I think it was $115, to be exact)!!!
Fine. My bad choice to use this Company's service again. Sucks that I didn't learn my lesson. Oh, well. I'll eat it. BUT THEN...
"Ernie" decides to email me asking for proof that I refilled the tank? Not IF I did, but PROOF that I did? (Probably not "Ernie's" fault. Probably just doing what he/she/they are told. Perhaps and unknowing innocent doing the company’s dirty work? Who knows.)

"First of all,
That car COST ME over $100 for that day because I extended it to 9 hours total??!!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!! The app NEVER PROMPTED ME to take a picture of the fuel when I started the trip, only to confirm it as 71%. Which I did. And I SUBMITTED A PICTURE OF THE FUEL LEVEL at the end of the trip showing 75% fuel.
I'm gonna repeat/rephrase that for the folks in the back:
The app USED TO prompt me to take a picture of the fuel level at the beginning of the trip. NOW, the app asks "Is this fuel level correct?" If it is, I click "yes" and it takes me to the next screen. IT NO LONGER PROMPTS ME TO TAKE A PHOTO OF THE FUEL LEVEL AT THE BEGINNING OF THE TRIP!!!
BUT IT ABSOLUTELY PROMPTS ME AT THE END! Then, as if somehow by twisted magic, the ending fuel level their system reports is less than the truth of the photo I submit - and they harass me? GTFOH!!!
And now, ON TOP OF THE $100+ for a 9-hour rental (2016 Prius rental) you're REQUESTING THAT I SEND MORE PROOF SO YOU CAN MAKE MORE $?? When I DID MY INSPECTION PROPERLY THROUGH YOUR APP?
What in the AF?

That you keep responding to reviews with "policy" instead of reviewing and knowing, explicitly, the details of rentals and communications with your company, is highly suspect. While sharing my email correspondence with your reps would probably be helpful here for potential consumers, I'm just not gonna bother.
Your pricing is NOT competitive and your service is FAR BELOW par. Getaround is scamming folks. Let's just call a spade a spade. For my stupidity and participation in this, you're welcome for the money I've already wasted on this company. And hopefully, instead of responding defensively, your company will implement policy changes. I've been in the service industry for many, many years. I have no reason to lie, and lie, and lie again about my experience with Getaround. It's been absolute spit.

YOU KNOW WHO's HAPPY WITH GETAROUND? Their affiliates, employees, car owners, and fake 5-star reviews. DO YOUR RESEARCH FOLKS! I am not alone in what I'm sharing here.
