If you are willing to fight with an application toset colors go on its your own problem.

Gimp really is a very bad program. I have been using it for years because I never wanted to spend money on photoshop or something you have to pay for.I think I will invest now though. Gimp is just frustrating. It can only do the very very basics and even that is super complicated. I have never (even with a lot of googling and youtube tutorial watching) achieved to create even nearly what I wanted to create. You can’t even delete parts of your picture without the program turning that part white??♀️ It is so very basic and really not worth the time you spend trying to figure out how to do stuff and then ending up disappointed because the program is so limited and can’t do what you’re trying to do anyway. There is a reason people who work with photoshop would never go (back) to gimp...read more

The interface wasn't so bad, and it took only 10 minutes of playing around before i finally found out how everything works.Resizing text can be quite painful. Probably better for large editing projects and not daily usage.read more

After playing around with GIMP for many hours over a few days, i can say that i am very impressed with this software - especially considering it is free!
I am very used to photoshop,but after switching over to a new computer that doesnt have photoshop and not sure that i use the software enough to justify spending £10.00 a month i thought i would try out gimp before reconsidering.
Admittedly the first few hours were somewhat fustrating and i had to read tutorials to understand many functions. HOWEVER once getting past this, learning what i need to do and how it works - i am super impressed!
It is a very good software and has many functions. I use it for light photo editing and resizing for images i upload to my ecommerce store, and i find the functions to be more then sufficient for my needs.
Like i say - you do need to commit a ittle bit of time to understand the programme (Like you would even with photoshop if you were new to it) things can seem complcated (for me anyway) at first but when you get past this its a great programme full of functions that closely compare with photoshop!
One more thing I will add - I remember using this programme (very lightly) roughly 5 or more years ago on an old laptop and can say it has greatly improved since then from what i remember!
