Been trying to cancel my policy as I have sold the vehicle. Initially call because I wanted to put the vehicle back on parking only insurance to store for the winter.Was informed I could not do that anymore and since they offered a great rate blended over the year, oh great rate that cost me more than double what I was paying.
My policy was with a different agency for years before hagery bought them. Cranked up my rate and made me pay year round. Luckly I have sold the vehicle and wish to cancel the policy. Here is now the issue, submitted the cancelation form and crickets, been several weeks with no reply, no confirmation. Hello why do you have email addresses if you dont use them, get with the times. Now I will have to waste my time trying to reach the right agent that can help me while being transferred around until the orange coupe specialist can be found to help me (for the last time as Id never go back to hagerty, been a terrible experience)read more

I currently have multiple vehicles insured with Hagerty and have used them for years. When I say multiple,I mean almost 10.
I’m giving Haggerty two stars because I vehemently disagree with their habit of spending my money on news magazines, restoration projects, going to every car show on the planet, etc.
That money needs to be used to lower premiums for their customers, not on frivolous items like this. And as the CEO of a corporation, I understand marketing and then need to maintain a relationship with your customers, but they take it to an extreme and it pisses me off. Especially when I have to write that check every month, which I’ve done for several years now.
I have never filed a claim so my review is not based on that aspect of a company however, after reading some of these reviews I am questioning whether I should be involved with this company. I think I might begin researching other companies to ensure my fleet of cars. As far as I’m concerned, I’m paying huge amounts of money and not really because I want to. If I need to file a claim I expect that claim to be paid. End of story without hassle and most importantly without litigationread more

We have been with Hagerty for about 8 months and we've had good service. Today, I tried to add another vehicle to our policy.First, I didn't estimate the value of the vehicle high enough. Then, they didn't believe my estimate for millage for the year. Even after making adjustments to their standards, they still refused our policy until we've had the vehicle for a year and they can see how many miles we've driven. Keep in mind, this vehicle was purchased to tinker with and drive occasionally for fun. The costumer service on the phone was very poor as well. Would I recommend Hagerty, not anymore!read more

I've always found Hagerty easy to work with, and love the magazine too. But ultimately nothing says what an insurance company is like,until a claim is made.
Following the Nashville tornado I had to make a claim, and their adjuster was out in just a few days, cutting a check shortly afterwards. When the guy from the body shop inspected it we realised there was some extra damage (was easy to miss until out of garage), and they immediately sent the second check.
I found them easy to work with, friendly (when I needed it) and professional. I can't think what else they could have done to improve on the service that they gave to me. There is no chance that I will be looking anywhere else, ever.read more
