The tourist information was excellent

The tourist information was excellent. I got so good service, extra effort and smiles from Welcome Hamburg and I was so happy. Both times I flew to Hamburg my luggage did not arrive. But I got the luggage sent home the next day first time. I am still waiting for my luggage second time after yesterday´s trip, but I think the luggage reclaim team seems very professional and there are strikes on the flights to my city.read more

False parking charges.
My family and I parked in P4 from 15/7 to 28/7.
The signs all over the parking area clearly displays 200 euro charge for parking up to 2 weeks. This is the rate published on their home page as well.
We received a charge of 350 euro for 13 days parking. Despite signs saying 200 euro for our designated parking area. After sending pictures of the rate signs and all documentation of our parking claim. Hamburg parking has refused any mistakes, they say that travels should expect higher rates in holiday periods.
We have asked for documentation of these higher rates, so we can make sense of our 350 euro bill.
We have received no form of documentation or help from Hamburg Airport parking, that can justify this extra charge.
The only message received was that this is normal practice and we should except the additional 150 euro charge.
We will think twice before choosing Hamburg Airport again.read more
Not so much help for disabled passengers
Reviewed on 2018-07-01T22:10:48
My mother was to fly from Hamburg with Wizzair. We have ordered handicap assistance as she has problems walking because of her poor leg.According to information on the website you can use the handicap help stand on both levels (departure and arrivals). My husband, who was accompanying my mother, got confused in the airport and therefore turnwd for help at the information desk in Terminal 1. A lady refused to help and sent them to terminal 2 (!!!), explaining this was the only thing to do. So they walked all the way down to another information desk - only to find another employee, surprised they didn't get help.
After that my mother was instructed to get a seat and wait for assistance. Finally Red Cross lady came and took my mother to the gate. To drop her off there! So a handicapped woman had to go down the stairs, in and out of the bus and up the stairs into the plane. Luckily some kind co-passengers offered to help her with her carry-ons.
And by the way - do not waste your time trying to reach airport at any of the numbers you find on their website. None works.
Stress and disappointment.read more
