I opened a bank account with HSBC, almost a year ago (10 months ago). When I opened the account,I was offered a promotion of a cashback reward, if I transferred my salary to their bank. After all this time, today I received a call explaining that my account was onboarded on their system on a date that the offer was not active and the offer opened again after a couple of weeks again. It is not about the reward itself, but it’s about the approach and the false promises.
I can only call this a mockery and customer misleading advertisement.
As an advice to everyone, just don’t trust this bank for anything. Their customer service is very bad, their mobile banking is subpar and there are multiple other banks in the UAE, which are much better.
Waste of time and money to work with this bank.

Worst International Bank in UAE : HSBC

I have been using HSBC for years and have witnessed how their services & professionalism are getting awful.Finally, I decided to switch to another local bank.
Sharing only one recent experience (out of many) so others can decide before making their choice.
After changing my employer I got an email from HSBC (badly drafted) to update my visa, Emirates ID along with salary information which is a logical requirement and I uploaded all the required documents on their web portal and received an acknowledgment email also. The weirdest part was that they required me to submit new security cheques also for a credit card (I had given a security cheque a few years back for the same), this is worth mentioning that I always paid credit card bills well before the due date and never defaulted, I usually pay upfront the amount I use in a single month)
After few weeks I got a call from HSBC team that they need me to update my documents and I explained that I have uploaded these documents already a few weeks back, if it's not received then I can upload them again on their web portal but sending these documents by email to an individual person isn't feasible due to a lot of frauds incidents otherwise I will visit the branch next week (if it's required) but the person on call was reiterating a single sentence during the whole conversation that they will block my credit card & standing order instructions that he did eventually.
Card & standing order instructions blocking without any fault at my end shocked me.
PS: I have no loan or liability from HSBC or any bank in UAE. Usually, paying credit card bills upfront and have a very handsome amount in my HSBC current account that has been accumulating over the years.
Thanks to the HSBC team to remind me that I should switch to another bank and invest my amount than keeping in HSBC.

I just post this here because I am aware that HSBC UAE does simply not care but at least I can be a service for others to stay clear of HSBC UAE - Dubai.I was an HSBC Premiere UAE customer for almost 4 years. While I didn't need any support my account was running relatively smooth (technically). They actually modernized the software and went away from stone old procedures. Great. The issue starts when you need support from your Relationship Manager. I had three of them and over the time span of four years I can say 2 were an absolute disaster and 1 I did never engaged. So what is the problem ? They promise to help you ... but then they don't and you can't reach them anymore. NO email answer, text message, phone calls or even responding to the HSBC premiere hotline leaving a message too call me urgently back. I had one serious issue and the guy responded finally after 11 days after I threatened to contact his superiors. The woman I had was even worse. I spare you the details. Simply unprofessionally. I raised an official complaint inside the official HSBC UAE complaint department. HSBC guaranties answers within 48 hours. I NEVER - yes you read it write - never got an answer. I am an expat traveling the world over 25 years and I have a lot of experiences with banks. I pay my bills and was not at all a difficult customer. Now there is a reason why HSBC UAE gets such a disastrous result on trustpilot. They offer really BAD service. Please stay clear and got to a bank who serves their people first. I did the mistake to stay to long with them. I switched to Revolut and OMG what a fast and responsive service. Whoever runs HSBC UAE must make major changes and measure customer responses, satisfaction and take this very serious.

Never partner with HSBC uae! Worst bank ever! I have made 1 local transfer to emirates nbd and 1international transfer for a medical emergency and almost 2 weeks now I did not get any money in enbd and even my philippine bank! They are holding my money without telling me the status of the transfer! This hsbc bank is the worst bank!! Just a piece of advice, DO NOT entrust your money with HSBC!

One of the worst banking experience as a HSBC customer for over 15 years.
I tried to withdraw aed 2,000 from my HSBC UAE ATM on 14.12.2020 whereas my daily limit as a Premier Customer is AED 25,000.Unfortunately I was unable to withdraw any amount from the HSBC atm. I also tried using a non-HSBC atm just in case there was an issue with the HSBC atm. I called the customer support number and was informed they are unable to help, as my daily limit is reset to aed 100 and my relationship manager was supposed to inform me on 12.12.2020. No communication whatsoever, put thru inconvenience & embarrassment. Unbelievable experience dealing with HSBC uae. Shocking they did nt have the courtesy to call or send me an email notification with the change in my daily limit. Still waiting to hear why the limit was changed without any communication! ??????
