Poor site and customer service

I spent one hour trying to book a flight (in the year 2021). The site has a slow response and poor usability.In addition, the flows have so many errors. For example: - updating my name requires to send several pdfs via email. After 4 years, this is not yet resolved - The site gives an error if the name is longer than 35 characters!? - If the site crashes (and for sure it will crash) after selecting the seats but before paying, the seats became unavailable for hours. Anyway, after a long time fighting with the site, I called customer service. The operator was rude and inpatient. This person didn't put any effort on trying to understand the issue and kept on giving wrong recommendations (I doubt this person understands the processes of Iberia). After arriving to a dead end, I asked this person to talk with the supervisor or other operator, then this person hangs up the phone. When I tried to call again, they just hang up without saying anything. I tried 5 additional times in Spanish and English: they just hang up the phone on customers needing help.

I can sympathise with the other very negative reviews; I have done BA/Iberia London to Madrid many times,the flights are ok, but Iberia customer services are abysmal. Poor English, not telling the truth, argumentative and cutting the phone off (when you can get through) are descriptions that come to mind. Just recently after 8 calls I was given a voucher for my friend (we were on the same flight next month that was cancelled with an unacceptable alternative of 3 hours earlier) . But my voucher has not come and is referred but should have been here several days ago. My friend's voucher was promised for 14 months use (ie until July 2022) but it actually says valid until 16 May 2022 with flights having to be used by 23 March 2022, work that one out! And when you raise it on the phone you just get dribble, evasions, or falsehoods. Useless, useless useless. If you must use that route try BA website instead, you would not think they are in essence the same company!

The worst service. I bought a flight 3 months in advanced and they cancelled without any reason. What's the point in offering flights if they can cancel them 3 months earlier? Also,worst customer service ever. Didn't manage to contact anybody apart from a bot. Avoid this company.

The worst service, my girlfriend was going to visit me in Germany, she got a visa from German embassy in Quito,she had all the papers required by German and Spanish foreign ministries (relationship declarations, invitation later, PCR tests, copy of german papers...). She was the first in the line to the lagguage drop, and they told her that they need a confirmation from German side (Dusseldorf airport) and gave her wrong email of Dusseldorf airport police, I had to call Dusseldorf airport police at night (Big thanks to them) and got the requested permission and resent it to their email. But they didn't allow her to board anyway, they just said that she doesn't have all necessary documents, but didn't mention which paper did she miss. Super disappointing...! Do not use this airline

Iberia is a disgrace. They cancelled a flight then offered Panama as a routing despite being on the UK Gov RED LIST meaning the need for hotel quarantine costing £1800.I called there 24hr customer services number 50 times and got through eventually but now they want to charge to change the flight. They refuse to say where their customers services is based but they speak poor English. A DREADFUL service!!!

impossible to change flights

Trying to reach the customer service hotline for days now to change flights. They just hang up on us and tell us to call later.No other way to change flights although we made sure that flight change was possible before purchasing the tickets. Seems like we are going to loose our flight completely. Worst customer service hotline I have ever come across and I travel a lot.

Just throwing this out there that someone may possibly had the same experience and give me advice.Booked a flight to Madrid some months back with Iberia Express and was due to fly out in June. They changed to return times that was not suitable to me. I don’t want a voucher but require a refund. I have spent too much time waiting on the phone to their Customer Services department and there is no email address for their CS department. To go online to file a complaint they need a ticket number but I don’t have one yet unless I accepted the changed flight time. Resolver also needs a ticket number to start the complaint process. Chargeback on the credit card need proof that I have logged a complaint with the airline and that I have pursued all avenues of enquiries but this is proving difficult. Any (polite and reasonable) suggestions.
