Great WHOIS search tool
Great website for domain information and rules. I use them to see WHOIS of many domains!
Good work.
Good work. Very good domain rules.
No action against illegal or prohibited services
I’m frustrated with ICANN for not taking effective action against websites that openly promote illegal or prohibited services. For example, sites like Jeffbullas and DeliveredSocial, Useviral, sidesmedia, host content that advertises services such as: “Best Sites to Buy Google Reviews” “Best Sites to Buy Trustpilot Reviews” “Best Sites to Buy YouTube Subscribers” “Buy Facebook Followers / Views” These services are clearly illegal or against platform terms, yet the domains remain active and publicly accessible. It’s disappointing that ICANN, as the global authority managing domain names, does not enforce stricter policies to prevent abuse or stop these activities. Users, businesses, and even other platforms are exposed to scams, fraud, and unethical marketing practices because of this inaction. ICANN’s reputation as a regulatory authority is at stake, and more proactive oversight is urgently needed. I hope ICANN strengthens enforcement measures and holds domain owners accountable for promoting illegal or prohibited services.
They stole my domain name ideas!
On 06/06/2025 I checked three domain name ideas, which took me a while to create. All three were available. On 07/06/2025 I tried to purchase one of these domain names but they had all been allocated? Strange or theft? Yet another company that cannot be trusted. Shame on you, I hope Karma comes for you! Scumbags....
Unable to transfer a domain
I had spent the last week transfering 3 domains from GoDaddy to Hostinger with no problems. My last domain was hosted by Verio. When I tried transferring my domain from Verio to Hostinger I received the message "because you didn't opt out of Icann you will have to wait 60 days before we can allow you to transfer your domain to Hostinger".....essentially they blocked me from transferring my domain....what a stupid and lousy compliance measure...never had this problem with GoDaddy....Icann has been nothing but an eyesore since the day it was conceived....watch out for this company ..they have no respect for the average webmaster ..
ALERT! Domain Ownership Loss After 10 Years - hongkong.nyc
ALERT!! I have had an extremely disappointing experience with ICANN regarding the loss of my domain ownership for hongkong.nyc, a domain I have owned and maintained for over 10 years. Despite my continuous efforts to comply with their regulations, ICANN’s recent audit flagged my domain for deletion without prior notice or a clear explanation. The lack of consistency in their policies and their failure to communicate effectively have caused significant disruption to my ongoing projects. The entire process has been opaque, and despite multiple follow-ups, I have received no concrete timeline for a resolution. This experience has severely eroded my trust in ICANN’s ability to manage domain registrations fairly and transparently. Furthermore, their contractual compliance process seems flawed and lacking in accountability, making it incredibly difficult for long-term domain owners to safeguard their digital assets. I hope ICANN takes immediate steps to improve their processes and communication to prevent other users from facing similar frustrations.
ICANN is a money loser! Here's why!
Prohibiting the direct sale of domains without becoming an ICANN accredited registry is a violation of freedom and should be illegal. In addition, ICANN charges an application fee of $3,500 to become an accredited registry, which is not refundable regardless of whether the application is successful or not, and requires applicants to pay an annual maintenance fee of $4,000. Not only that, ICANN is a money loser, charging as much as $0.18 for each domain name registered. ICANN is the Internet's governing and monitoring body for domains and IPs, They are not doing their job, they are corrupt freedom predators who only want money, and they will lead the Internet to collapse. ICANN is a fraudulent group that claims to be an Internet governing body while demanding high fees for not doing its job. We need to get rid of ICANN for the sake of freedom and prosperity and restore the Internet as it should be, free and free of corruption. It is time for a revolution.
