Latest update bricked v2 card readers?

I have been using izettle go on android as was before PayPal buy out. Working fine for over a year with 3 Lenovo tablets and 3 zettle 2 card readers.All 3 readers just gone down and I can't get them back. All readers showing BLE 8xx instead of their unique ID number. None can be used now.

Unable to create an account online. Keeps saying "This business is already registered.Please try to log in instead." yet when you try and login it keeps taking you to the setup page to setup a new business. Going elsewhere as if we cant even sign up, gives a good indication of problems down the line.

the worst company

I ordered a kitchen printer, receipt printer, card reader and cash drawer. I spent 2 days on the phoneto the Izettle "support line" whose technical expertise seemed to consist of turn it off and turn it on again. Nothing they said worked. They advised us to remove the receipt printer ethernet cable before guiding us through their terrible advice. After we gave up on the support line we corrected the issue by... surprise surprise connecting the ethernet cable to the printer. The printer was also missing the standard 3 point UK plug adaptor... i zettles solution buy one yourself and send us the invoice! Absolutely laughable... when suggested they sent me a 1 instead they offered to charge me £39 plus VAT. We hve only used them for 2 weeks but we will be looking to change suppliers ASAP

My advice is to not use this product or app. They have forgotten a very critical and basic e-commerce step in the payment process; once you have taken a payment,your client can enter their email address to receive a receipt but there is no tick box for your client / customer to accept any further communication from you. I am an artist at colourfulabstractart.com I used i zettle go this weekend at an art fair, I have to send all my buyers [who are potential future collectors] a certificate of authenticity and actually, I would like to send them a thank you message and invite them to future shows. At the point of sale, I told all my buyers that I would keep in touch with them and they were all happy for me to - I also had some clients enquiring about commissions so I wanted to follow up with them. However, zettle does not even keep / provide a copy of their name or the email address they entered into the app! As far as I'm concerned, this is ridiculous! I have used paypal for almost 15 years, I registered for zettle through my paypal account thinking it would be the same. Now I have lost future sales in potential commissions and collectors as I have no way of contacting them. There are huge security risks too, potentially, someone could use a stolen credit card and you would not even be able to see the name to verify a thing! How this product and app was able to pass security checks and be released, I will never know. Find an app that will allow your buyers the simple step of accepting future communications otherwise, in this digital age, you will struggle to stay in business if you cannot contact your past customers. This product and app is useless. In regards to the Zettle response below, they want us to add the customers email address into the phone app [the customer does this, who wants to hold up the queue during a pandemic to ask the customer to spell their email address right?] send the receipt then put the phone down, go into the website version of the app on a laptop or desktop, click on 'customers' and add the email address again??!! I was told by their customer service chatline that I am not allowed access to my customers emails because of GDPR however, now this response insinuates that I do not have to ask my customers to subscribe / opt in?! They say this is easy, I have no idea why they think adding another 2-3 minutes onto the transaction process rather than having the customer tick an 'opt in' or 'subscribe box' at point of purchase is easy. They have no defence, a basic ecommerce check out step is missing. Oh, and apparently, we must ask our customers use a pin even if the amount is under £45 or potentially ask them to go home and grab photo id! Poor response to a poor product and service. They can put this right by allowing me access to the email addresses my clients entered [themselves] into the app in order to receive vital documents from me relating to their sale! And put this right for other customers by having a simple "opt in" or "subscribe" tick box [like on every other app] before or after the customer enters their email addresses.

Absolutely disgraceful service. I have run a VAT regd UK business for 13 years during which time I have also been with paypal.i took a payment from a customer for a watch on Zettle Go. He is very happy with it BUT Zettle have now locked my account, prevented me from touching the payment of £2450, and are not answering my emails. They will not tell me why they have done this. The transaction is legitimate, the customer is legitimate and happy and Zettle are just using their over-complex bamboozling T&Cs to hide behind. I still do not know the reason why they blocked my account but I do know that small businesses need cashflow . Now my customer is upset too and is getting annoyed. The reason for the block cant be from the customer, so what is the reason? Why am I not being told. Should I contact the Police or my solicitor and sue this useless bunch? Do they think I can afford to wait 3 months for my money? Where are my legal rights. Take my advice AVOID!! And now i will get the standard reply which will not help, will not be fair nor reasonable and which like all the others on here tell me absolutely nothing BTW avoid chat they are worse than useless.. IF THIS HAS HAPPENED TO YOU IT IS TIME TO LAUNCH A CLASS ACTION IF NOT A FRAUD ENQUIRY. PS see their reply below. They will not help you in any way whatsoever DO NOT SIGN WITH THIS COMPANY THEIR T&CS STATE "“We reserve the right to temporarily suspend and/or delay payouts to your designated bank account and/or restrict access to any funds credited to your Zettle Account where we need to conduct an investigation or resolve any pending dispute relating to your Zettle Account and/or as necessary to comply with the Card Scheme Rules, applicable law or court order or if otherwise requested by law enforcement or any governmental authority.” tHIS MEANS THAT THEY CAN KEEP ALL YOUR MONEY FOR 120 DAYS AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING YOU CAN DO

Ceasing support of their own card reader!!

Have been an iZettle user for over 8 years now. No real serious issues on taking payments.Since the company has been taken over by Paypal I have been informed that the iZettle card reader I purchased (for around £120) will no longer be supported. Only option they say is for me to purchase another one of their new card readers at my expense. Totally disgusted! Absolutely terrible service. Find it outrageous that such a large company is not replacing the fully working devices that they are forcing their clients from using further due to their inhouse changes. Wonder if this is the new service level to expect....?

I am a made to order furniture retailer and take 50% deposits from customers and zettle have closed the account because of this.Very disappointed with the service and the way in which they handled this. Trying to speak to someone who could deal with this was very dificult and had to only communicate via email which is not ideal, would not recommend this company at all.
