Very disappointing

I used this company years ago and had a great experience. Using them in 2021 was a different matter.Everything is an add on. The sales team take no time trying to understand what the customer wants. They promise technical support; unless you want to read a user guide, then this is another cost.

Once again LCN has behaved appallingly and just like the reviews I left them back in 2018 for previous appalling service it seems they can’t help themselves in providing the lowest standards,again! Unlike the ‘glowing’ reviews LCN gets, (which strangely seem to follow negative reviews), my reviews are detailed and honest as I have been a customer with LCN for many years. LCN’s latest con job is to raise VAT on invoices for a non-UK company and then explain ‘Unfortunately we cannot refund the VAT’! It’s appalling and criminal! How and why LCN can behave in this way is indicative of the appalling service it provides! LCN knew my company was based in Sweden, knew my company bank account was in SEK (Swedish Kronor) and took payment in SEK. LCN then initially asked me for a ‘council tax statement’ to ‘prove’ my address details as it seems LCN believes Sweden is part of the UK, which is even more galling post-Brexit! Now LCN doesn’t want to refund the VAT to me despite knowing my company wasn’t in the UK and was in Sweden with a Swedish VAT number supplied. This is the worst type of service a customer can receive. Not only is the ‘support’ amongst the most ignorant but also the most unhelpful, it seems almost 3 years later nothing has changed! In the reviews I wrote about LCN on Trustpilot back in 2018 shows that no matter how much time passes bad service is still bad service and a bad company is still a bad company! I will recover this VAT and I will raise this matter with HMRC!

I've been with LCN for about 15 years and until recently it has been first class. Unfortunately achange of management/ownership in the last couple of years has seen the standard of service drop to pathetic. The support staff are always helpful but they must be getting sick of working there! Prices are scandalous. Did LCN not stand for 'Low Cost Names' at one time? The website is terrible. The control panel is ridiculous. The hoops you have to jump through just to make a 2 minute change to a website can now take hours. Again, the support staff have always been great. The problem is with the greedy new owners.

LCN was excellent, I have used them for years. You could contact them at any time and the customer support was perfect.Unfortunately it now looks like they have sold the business and are now under new management. They have put prices up and the customer service is now average to poor. Hope you don't need to do anything on a Saturday or Sunday. Apparently we are all off on those days and do not need any customer support!!!! What a shame, this used to be one of the best companies out there. hopefully more people leave 1 star reviews. It may encourage them to get the customer service back to what it was and what we are currently paying for.

Shady company that has setup renewals for 2 years at an exorbitant price. I used to manually renew mydomains but now they force you to renew every 2 years and have no option for 1 year. Moving all my domains to a better service, would like to hear from other users on a good domain provider. Thanks.
