Service is worst than bad...
The Miele technician came over today. Just getting a date was a painful experience.Should have known right there and then. It took a month to get him to show up and when he did, he was arrogant, and patronizing. We were sold the dishwasher as high-end, reliable and were convinced to spring for the extended warranty. At the price they charged, I could have gone with the local repair shop and not have to wait a month. I would have encourage the local economy and save myself grief.

If I could rate lower I would.
We spent over 12,000.00 on 2 products and was excited to see a smallrebate offered by filling out some paperwork.
But they said we didn’t qualify due to somehow we got special pricing.
We didn’t according to Miele website
I’m letting all of our neighbors in our new building area at stay clear.

We have had the worst experience ever with an entire house full of Miele appliances.All our appliances were installed about 18 months ago, and of the 6, three have significant problems. What's worse is that the company will not honor the 2 year warranty we were supposed to receive because we used a Miele certified installer. We've been without a dryer for two months, and just learned that the part ordered will not fix the machine, and that the next step will be to replace all the boards in the machine at a likely cost of $900. We would have spent 3/4 of the cost of a brand new machine, but we simply won't do it. We have trouble also with the rangetop and the speed oven. I suggest you avoid the headache and shop for another appliance brand.

Miele used to be known for their quality dishwashers and the price of them has reflected that quality.I have a 4 year old dishwasher (model 5605)that has rusted racks, the plastic coating has cracked leaving them vulnerable to rust—replacement cost is between 300-400 for each rack (3 racks total). On top of the poor quality of the racks, the circulation pump no longer works! The cost for repair including a new circulation pump is $930.00!!!
Needless to say, I was not expecting to find out the cost of repair would be so high, Miele customer service had no “customer service “, no explanation as to why a 4 yr old machine basically needed a complete overhaul other than to blame my water hardness (we have a filtration system)and me not using their overpriced dishwasher tabs and rinse aid ( I have only used their products). They are only a booking agent for their service department that changes $269.00 just to assess the problem
I have had other dishwashers, they have lasted 15-20 years, I have never had such issues and I have never been so disappointed with poor customer service!
As mentioned above, don’t waste your money on Miele, they do not stand behind their product and only look for ways to blame the consumer and gouge! I would have given the m “0” stars but that was not an option!

Miele Major Disappointment/Letdown - Model 4977 Dishwasher

Bought Miele Model 4977 Dishwasher. Best Buy/Pacific Sales Rep convinced me it was worth the hundreds of extra $$$ for the quality and longevity expectance of well over 10 - 15years.Now 2 1/4 years later water circulation pump is dead and repair is around $800.00- $900.00. After almost 45 minutes on phone with customer service Miele offered a only 20% discount ($110) on the $550 motor reducing repair to $719. Still repair is more than value of machine now only 2+years old. Very disappointing that after only 2 years the machine with a life expectancy of 10 - 20 years has become zero. Over the years I have owned many of the brands rated lower than Miele. None lasted less than 7-10 years. Yet, Miele said all they could do is the small discount on the new pump. Trying to decide to do the repair or buy one of those "inferior" brands such as LG or Samsung for a new machine at about the cost of fixing a 2 year old machine with already one known major issue and uncertain future. While I understand their hard line position on additional relief, the reality is their offer is merely just a nominal response under these these circumstances and considering the quality promises they and their retailers make at the time of purchase. Horrible Customer Service! Do NOT buy!!

We have built a new house with all Miele appliances. We have a defective range top that is not working.For last 3 months we have been trying to get to talk to someone. We have been going in circle with their helpdesk people. Every time they ensure us that someone will contact us within 72 hours, but it just hasn’t happened in 3 months. We are going to involve our attorney to try and solve the problem.
I wish I could give zero start for review since this is not worthy of a one star.

June 2021 purchased Miele Flex HX1 from Bed Bath Beyond, used 3 months then nothing.Attempted to return and told must return to Miele or contact distributor. Presented to Miele Distributor (HomeWeks - San Antonio wherein they stated to return to Bed Bath Beyond. Asked it they could service; unit checked and was told the battery faulted. Distributor confirmed acquisition of re-placement battery at $200 ~ (half the price of the initial cost). Contacted Miele (888) 996-4253 to be told would have to return to retail for them to make good on a Miele product purchased from their on-line distribution.

Disappointed in Miele

Purchased a Miele dishwasher almost four years ago to replace a KitchenAid dishwasher that went belly up after 4 years of service.I was in the market for a Bosch but was convinced by the salesman to buy Miele. Was happy with my purchase till last year when a F78 error popped up. Watched some You Tube videos and was able to manipulate, by various methods, the dishwasher into operating intermittently over the course of several months. Now it is dead after roughly 3.5 years of use. So much for German Engineering. Now I am looking for a repairman that can work on Miele. My go to guy is not authorized and I am wary of being taken advantage of. We will see how this goes and next time I will probably purchase a Bosch.
Update 10/08/21
Had to wait about two weeks to get a tech appointment. The tech was nice, professional and quick. The bill was painful. $814 to replace a circulation pump. Something was restricting the impeller causing the pump to shut down. I have started using Affresh on a monthly basis and hopefully it will extend the life of the pump. The dishwasher works great when it’s operational but a new pump every three years or so is not going to cut it.
