Train staff better!!!!!

Reviewed on 2021-05-28T07:04:48

I find mountain warehouse a lovely shop, I'm often in the Aviemore and Inverness shops where I find all the staff to be friendly, helpful and superb. However, I went into the new Inveruie store on Wednesday afternoon, decided to have a good browse around and spent up to 20 to 25 minutes in that shop. Even though my overall experience wasn't terrible is wasn't the greatest either, wasn't anything about the shop itself, it looks great, my bad experience was infact by the staff. The two young men, were approachable, polite and very helpful, i can't fault them in the slightest, the older gentlemen, seemed to be dealing with other customers and constantly busy, which one would expect in a newly opened store, can't talk to all customers, however they did say hello to me. But the two girls is were my experience went downhill, one of them just stood around the whole time I was in the shop, never seemed busy at all and didn't acknowledge my presents or other customers around me, business' are supposed to rely on their customers. Then there was the other girl, who happened to serve me on the till, she was just a small thing but she had the rudeness level of a giant. I overheard her being rude to one of her colleagues as I first went in and then later on she was utterly rude to myself, sighing when I didn't buy a half price item, demanding my email address and talking like she was quickly trying to rush me out of the shop. I was so disappointed by this. I know it's a new and probably the first ever job for the two girls however I would expect them to know how you treat people and if not they should get the appropriate training to do so. I will give it a few weeks for all the staff to settle into the new shop before I "try" again

Friendly store staff

Often pop into the Bordon/Farnham concession and never leave without purchasing something as prices are competitive.Got a pair of walking boots just before Christmas but they only had a smaller size in the style I wanted. Tried them out at home and found they weren’t a good fit but due to lockdown couldn’t return until late April (not a problem as they’d extended the returns period) and swapped for the size I originally wanted. Always find staff are friendly and helpful ?
