Legally Robbed by Mulberry

I purchased my mulberry bag in 2018. When I finally used it one of the four gold clasps fell off.I returned it to its cloth bag as the first lock down was introduced. We then entered into a global pandemic. I contacted Selfridges who informed me I would need to return it to the location it was purchased. When restrictions were relaxed I certainly did not preserve it as essential travel driving in excess of 150 miles to return a Mulberry bag. I was also in possession of the original receipt and clearly the issue was a manufacturing fault. The bag has been used no more than on five occasions. This is blatantly obvious to the naked eye. Mulberry a supposedly superior brand think it’s fair to charge me £42 plus vat to replace the plain gold ring. The cost of the bag i believed would have dictated It last more than 50 hours of use? I feel insulted my Mulberry experience has been ruined. I believe I would have received better standard of customer care and a better quality item from a supermarket.

Amazing Customer Service!!

I purchased a Mulberry item a few months ago for a wonderful friends 50th birthday from John Lewis but unfortunately it did not come with any packaging,so on the weekend I contacted Mulberry customer service via email asking if I could purchase additional gift packaging to my surprise I received a response within an hour from one of the customer service agents informing me that he had arranged for additional packaging to be sent out to me and that it was free of charge. I received the packaging within two days of sending the email and was able to give my friend the lovely item. I have been shopping with Mulberry for many years and after the service provided I will be for many more.

Mulberry Brockwell

Brockwell bought 2019 from Regent Street for a wedding , spent most of 2020 in its dust bag so minimal use.Leather separated from D ring when coming through a checkout at Waitrose and fell off daughters shoulder. Mulberry refused to accept responsibility and blamed it on weight or force that caused the leather to break. I’d like to know what they think could be heavy enough and small enough to fit in the bag and be carried around long enough to make this happen. Really not good enough for a bag that cost £895 !

Poor quality for price paid.

Bought a Small Selby 2 years ago as a retirement gift to myself. Below average use (lockdown!)and the leather straps holding handle has sheared through (it fell off my shoulder). And the suede lining has shredded. Repair for handle possible but all mulberry can do is glue the lining. Really not the quality you expect from a once-respected luxury brand. Buy Prada instead! Thank you for your response - gluing the lining is not really a repair. As I have been offered (and accepted) a refund from the retailer I will decline your offer. I have been in touch with Mulberry customer services and requested that they return the bag ASAP.

No issues, but I've had better presentation buying cheap items from China

0 issues. Ordered a bag, received item the next day. Unfortunately DPD didn't listen to delivery instructions and left it on the porch when I explicitly stated not to,which leads nicely onto why this isn't 5*. When you purchase a luxury item, you'd expect the packaging to be nicely presented as well, especially as I imagine lots of bags are bought as gifts. Unfortunately, this isn't the case when you buy from mulberry. Your bag will turn up in a battered white box, and inside you'll find your bag inside a plastic bag. Only a minor thing, but very disappointing when you spend nearly £1k. I've bought nightwear that's been presented better. Even my £20 earphones came more nicely presented than the bag I ordered

I bought a Mulberry from John Lewis, which arrived without the dust bag. John Lewis were unable to send me the dust bag as they didn’t have any spare and no longer stocked the bag.I got in touch with Mulberry and they have gone above and beyond to source one for me as it was missing from the original order. Whilst the dust bag is not super important it’s nice to have one with each bag. Thank you Mulberry, always impressed with the service and products!

Excellent customer services. Had an issue with a phone cover. Mulberry organised return and kept in constant contact.They could not resolve so replaced like for like.

Awful customer service - updated review

A screw on the handle of my Freya bag is missing. It must have worked loose. The straps can’t be attached without it.You’d think the simplest of issues to resolve. I unscrewed the other side and sent a picture of the screw to Mulberry. After multiple emails and calls they confirmed they can get the screw, it comes with the barrel it sits in. After multiple emails and calls they’ve now suggest I have to pay to send it secure post to them, so they can assess and quote for the repair. And complete at a further cost to me. That it needs an ‘artisan craftsman’ to simply fit a screw. Really? Funny how I was able to undo - photo - and rescrew the other side in 2 minutes! Apparently they don’t have a complaints policy, and you can’t speak with their repairs manager because ‘she’s not customer facing’ Absolutely awful customer experience. Real shame as I was a big fan of Mulberry - this experience had tainted my view so much that I’m not sure I’d purchase again. If you pay good money for a good product, you expect good customer service to go with it....... update - great customer service and repair following this post
