Does it's job and no one can deny that but it willbe a love it or hate it situation depending on how much you relly on addons.

I had the settings checked for backups. I had several files that were open in the editor and hadn't changed for days.I had an inadvertant shut down, and when I got the app back up, all the files were corrupted. Apparently this has been going on for years, when I checked out the user forum on the internet. The app writers can change it/fix it, but won't.

One of the best document editors I've seen. I LOVE how they added a feature where you can head to a specific line in your document.It's easy and usable. It's also free. Just open a file, and you have some free, easy tools to use for your text!

Notepad++ is a free, open source code editor. It is jampacked with standard features,it supports more than 50 programming, scripting and markup languages and including syntax highlighting and code folding.
Notepad++ in general is good, but the biggest problem is the documentation, because is poor, particularly around the regex search/replace.
