Terrible Customer service

Terrible Customer service, the people I spoke to in O2 are just out of the world, insane and inhumane.
Almost all the people I have talked to are miserable except one lady on the phone.Bought 100 mbps Internet package with Modem priced for 4000kc or 69kc per month for 60 months and a shocking deposit of 2000 kc over the phone and they booked a technician for the weekend only once deposit is paid, technician from Siten came over spent 90 mins and said the building has only 50mbps of speed and he left without giving the connection, suggested to go to the O2 store to apply for a bonding or lower the speed to 50mbps. Went to O2 store and Complained on the 100 mbps and they Just said it’s the system which shows the speed and they can’t do anything or guarantee the speed.
Had no other way but to book 50 mbps package and strangely they asked me to pay another deposit of 2000kc to book a technician. I asked them
to transfer the first deposit of 2000kc to the new 50 mbps package and the sales consultant said it’s not possible and I have to pay 2000kc again and the first deposit will be refunded.
They said the next available dates for a technician is after 5 days. I said it’s their fault selling me false speed and they need to priorities my new connection ASAP. I nearly spent 2 hrs at the O2 store for this and they just did not care for the inconvenience caused.
Unfortunately I had to book the technician after 5 days Only.
It was hell of an experience with very bad Customer service. The Modem price is really unacceptable they are just forcing us to buy the modem for 4000kc I definitely don’t recommend O2. They are just taking advantage of the basic needs of people.read more
Decent connection - terrible service

Decent connection, however the customer service is appalling. Modem/Router costs an extra 3000czk (approx.100GBP),and when we decided to purchase a TP-Link router instead, which worked perfectly, they wouldn't accept a return of the O2 router purchased in the shop. We have decided to ride out the mandatory 3 months on contract and then switch to a company that is a little more helpful. See ya O2!read more
Their 5G is a borderline scam
Reviewed on 2021-03-03T19:16:25
I'm talking here specifically about their so-called 5g internet, and I have rated this a 1 star. Before we discuss anything, please note that 5G at time of writing in the Czech Republic is NOT widely available, and the service 02 call 5G is actually either 4G or 4G+ (or a combination).
The next thing I want to mention is that I currently have a 5 year contact with O2 for their 50Mbps "5G" wireless home internet. I'm currently in year 2. I want to make it super clear that I would have cancelled already if it wasn't for the fact that they throw in an overpriced modem for free and to get out of the contact you need to pay the rest of the period in full and the cost of the equipment.
During these 2 years, the internet has mostly worked, except for one thing, every now and again they seem to throttle the service down to 1/2 speed, around 20Mbps.
This means that every time this happens I need to get into what I call "The O2 theatrical game".
Obviously the service desk staff are basically your average lemon who not only don't have any kind of technical background, but also lack common sense.
This means at least 3 calls to this service desk before an actual technician will get back to you.
And they will send out a technician to play the game. He'll come around and inspect your equipment and then agree with you it's slow and then perhaps replace perfectly fine hardware (at their cost) or you know, at least confirm your speed is slow.
Then you will hear all the justifications "In this area the signal isn't very good, etc".
Finally after about 3-4 weeks up to 2 months you will have the problem resolved.
Until the next time.
So I have a theory on what they do. They sell these packages, and then secretly cap people, those who don't complain remained capped. For example some elderly pensioner is hardly going to notice the difference in speed from 25-50Mbps. So they try save money this way.
Above I mentioned that this so called "5G" can be a combination of 4G and 4G+. And that's true, when you make a request it will default to 4G using the lower bandwidth, however it will automatically switch over to 4G+ when extra bandwidth is required. At least that's how it should work when everything is actually working.
HOWEVER - O2 are sneaky, what I realised is they didn't just cap me this time, they turned off the 4G+ connection mode.
This means I am paying for 50Mbps, and getting maybe 1/2 sometimes even 1/5 of that.
And you think this will be the last time they do it? I would estimate they do this twice a year.
So if you have O2 internet then you really need to check carefully what speed you're getting and call them constantly if you're not happy. Let them send out an internet technician as often as they have to.
Absolute nightmare of a service.read more

Don't ever go with O2 after I canceled with them I have to pay 3-4 months for nothing! scam company

I have O2 for less than 1 month and issues keep piling up:
- terrible network connection - it'sextremely slow and faulty
- worst customer service ever - I have submitted a request to check my connection 3 times in one month. They cancel the visit of the technician because they claim they reset the network remotely (if there is a need to reset the system 3 times in one there is clearly something wrong).
- dishonest - when signing the contract I was told that there was no fee whatsoever if I would cancel the service after 3-6 months. Now they claim that I should pay for the modem.
I have had UPC for 4 years and I never had single problem. O2 is just a tremendous disappointment.read more

Let's put it clear: o2 is a nest of piracy. From extremely dodgy extra costs on the monthly bill that had to be claimed constantly,to unexpected billing, to threats through a third company on bills that they do not really inform you are outstanding, to blatant lies and incompetent policies, procedures and services.
