Starting with something as simple as a box, OtterBox was created in 1998 and built upon fundamentals of hard work, creativity and perseverance. Our cases are dedicated to all the klutzy, spontaneous, chaotic, graceless individuals who have broken a device or valuable due to their active lifestyle and like our customers, we've been there too! The "innovative spirit" of founder and chairman Curt Richardson has promoted the development of our product lines from waterproof boxes into four lines of device-specific cases for today's hottest technologies. Similar to an otter's fur, our original line of cases is waterproof. So to incorporate that element with the fun and playful disposition of the animal our founder and his wife came up with the name OtterBox while brainstorming company names during a drive to Denver, Colo. Like the animal that is our namesake, we're a fun, creative bunch that likes to work hard and play hard too. We have in-house sales, customer service, accounting, engineering, public relations, marketing, web design, graphics, supply chain, human resources and our own warehouse. OtterBox is located in one of the greatest cities in America - Fort Collins, Colo. Ranked #1 in 2006 and #2 in 2008 on Money Magazine's "Best Places to Live" list, Fort Collins has easy access to the Rocky Mountains for biking, hiking, running, camping, kayaking, boating, skiing, snowboarding and other activities. Many of us use our cases every day, in the office, outdoors and around town and serve as excellent "guinea pigs" for new product testing. Throughout the years, we've listened to customer feedback and attribute the evolution of our products to consumers who've challenged us to take the idea of a protective case to the next level. At OtterBox, it's not one person changing the world of cases, it's a team!

Disappointing customer service lets product down

Disappointing. Loved the product but had to cancel order due to new phone having to be returned.I contacted Otterbox the same day that I ordered the case to say I didn't now need it. They sent it anyway. They now refuse to pay for a returns label and say I have to pay for it despite me cancelling before it was shipped - a whole 30 hours before I received a shipped confirmation. I asked them to pay for return shipping as a goodwill gesture as I had done everything I could by raising an incident log cancelling the order just over 6 hours later. They refuse.

Otterbox toughened glass screen Galaxy S20 FE

I bought an otterbox toughened glass screen protector for my Samsung SE20 FR. At the same time I bought the phone I bought s genuine Samaung flip case.Within a day of fitting the screen protector it had cracked at the top right hand corner. These cracks the appeared half way down the screen I. The right hand side. I contacted otterbox and was sent another screen protector. It went the exact same way after about 4 or 5 days. I contacted otterbox who asked me to send them pictures, which I did. Otterbox then said that since I did not have an otterbox cover on my phone they would not reach the screen protector or refund. I was astounded. They said their cases are tested with their screen protectors but Samsung cases are not. U would think a genuine Samsung case bought directly from the manufacturer should do a very acceptable job in protecting the phone and screen cover. They offered me a reduction on one of their phone cases. Absolutely appalling customer service. The screen cover was no cheap at almost £18. I believe I should be due a refund as the screen protector is not of merchandisable quality. So Beware! I believed otterbox to be a very reputable company and have bought quite a few things from them but never again. Shockingly poor customer service

I purchased a screen protector from Otterbox direct, it arrived damaged. Apparently, it's tough $%it,send it back to HONG KONG at YOUR COST and they will review and consider giving you a refund. So they deliver a faulty product, say it's not their problem, send it back at inordinate cost in proportion to the product and in many many weeks you may, or may not, get a refund. I hadn't even realised I was buying from Hong Kong, they are banking on you not bothering to send it back. Avoid them at all costs unless you like gambling

Cheetah run fall

In May 2021 My husband James was on the Cheetah run at Busch gardens in Tampa Florida with his grandchildren.His phone and keys fell out of your pocket while on the ride and fail to the ground on the rocks below. It survived the fall Without any damage. And as my husband says all because it was in Otter box. He loves to tell the story about how his phone survived the fall on the Cheetah run

I ordered Otterbox online. I wanted to purchase the screen protector bundle advertised on their website.I was unable to do so. Chatbot, customer service could not help. I ended up buying the screen protector from another company’s site. On Friday, May 7, 2021, I purchased an Otterbox. I paid $29.99 for standard overnight delivery. Tracking stated that it was shipped out on Saturday, May 8. Tracking noted that it would arrive by FedEx Monday, May 10, 2021, before 8:00 p.m. It did not. Nor did it arrive on Tuesday. I called to find out where it was. I got a recording saying the company was having an all-day meeting and referred back to an online chatbot. The Otterbox arrived Wednesday afternoon. I called for a refund on shipping as it took well over the promised shipping time and stated arrival date. I finally reached customer service Thursday and was told that they would not reimburse the shipping fee; it had arrived, by their figuring, in the allotted time. So, by Otterbox calculations, “overnight” actually means 5 days. Now that I have the product, I cannot figure out how to attach it to my phone. AGAIN, no help from “customer service.” The online Youtube demonstration I found was for a different model. Extremely disappointing.
